This is fantastic. I was worried it might conflict with the other mods I use for the area (Rocky West Gash, Red Mountain Reborn and Devilishly Rocky Red Mountain, BCoM) but it works really well. There are a few areas where mushrooms from this mod and rocks/cliffs from the others clearly intersect, but I kinda love the effect. It's like mushrooms are growing on and out of the various rock faces in those instances.

Another mod I noticed that interacts beautifully with this is Glowbugs. I use the auto version, which spawns glowbugs in areas with lots of vegetation at night time, and I noticed they pop up here among the mushrooms. It really helps sell this idea of an ash forest that's able to thrive in the valley, and the unique ecosystem that it's created.

    Thanks for creating and sharing

Love the hell outta this mod, but i notice a few floaters while going through it. For example, the mushroom right of the bandit behind Maar Gan (it's easy to miss because of the angle, unless you're in game), a few along the back road as well, and so on. That's all I've seen thus far, but another pass would greatly improve immersion. The vibes traveling through this though were top tier! Endorsed!

I got it up and running and it looks great. Fantastic work. I was just wondering buy is there supposed to be a Quest given by the bosmer near Kogoruhn? Or does it start elsewhere. I tslk to her and no journal entry or dialoge options? Does it require a certain point in the main quest? EDITED. I reloaded and didn't use coc and run speed, just normally went there and got the quest for the ash statues!!! Ty

The expansion of this since the first version has truly turned this into an alien but very enchanting location.
It makes Maar Gan feel just a little more unique. I'm reminded quite a bit of the Echovald Forest from Guild Wars Factions.

You mean those big scary Vurt's trees? A bit too much clipping and too dense for me...but it works well with 'devilish rocky red mountain'.

Did you achieve that by getting rid of all the new ash trees from your mod, or with some other approach?

Is the quest NPC that was added hidden somewhere? Looked around for about half an hour and didn't see anyone but bandits. Funny enough though I did find a dead necromancer's feet sticking out from under some boulders added by Rocky West Gash, looked like the poor fella got a really unlucky end to his career.

Quest npc resides in the forest near Kogoruhn ;) The idea behind implementing the quest was to encourgae people to use my second mod Kogoruhn Extinct City of Ash and Sulfur. I plan in the future to merged those two mods

Thanks for the help, I walked right past her when I was looking. I gotta get my eyes checked. Cool to have a use for ash statues now.
  10. The latest update (1.5) re-adds the requirement of DR_Data.esm.
