Initial Release
One of my favorite things about Daggerfall's factions is that there's something for everyone, and you can always do low-intensity quests. Yeah, there's plenty of teleportation to be weaponized andescaped criminals to bring to justice, but also, Uncle Bob is having a hard time unlocking this chest and Sir Witchhunter III has a bad case of insomnia, so....
In Morrowind, the quests start out low intensity, but they just get more and more intense. I wanted to have options for people who want to still do some Guild quests, but don't want to go fight some Ash Ghouls that day. Additionally, I wanted to give the player character an RP-friendly reason to go to new places.
Additionally, I wanted to explore how the Mages Guild helps people around them. By having a Mages Guild around, you are allowing them to have a monopoly magical services and instruction. In my mind, the Guild must be some benefits to the surrounding community -- otherwise, why would they accept the Guild? I also wanted to practice making quests and small scripts.
There are 3 little questlines here. “Open a Chest” is ripped straight from Daggerfall and is exactly what it sounds like. “Overdue Books” establishes a Mages Guild Library available to the public. “Delivery Service” is exactly what it sounds like.
There are two versions of the esp. One is for if you use my Mages Guild Overhaul - Guild Hall Visuals. The other is for those of you who don't (if you don't, it still works fine, but the librarian's initial dialogue won't make as much sense. I'll get around to changing that eventually).
The questgivers can all be found in Vivec's guild hall.
