INTRODUCTION
====================================
Merriam-Webster Online defines the Book of Circles as "The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary. Click on a spelling suggestion below or try again using the search bar above." Fortunately, UESP is much more helpful, describing it as a highly regarded treatise on sword mastery and philosophy written by the legendary Redguard hero Frandar Hunding. The book is ubiquitous in Hammerfell, found in almost every home and in the various martial schools that are the legacy of the Sword-Singer traditions of the First Era. While certainly much rarer outside Redguard lands, it is not impossible to find even in far-away Morrowind...

DESCRIPTION
====================================
This mod adds copies of the Book of Circles to the game. Once you get a copy, you can study from it once per day. Activating the book, either from the world or your inventory, will give you the study option (as well as allowing you to check your progress or skim the text of the book). As you keep studying, you'll get some passive bonii to represent your increasing skill. Fair warning: it will take some time to complete your studies. This is intentional.

I've included three different .esp's in the download, each with a different implementation of the Shehai.
- One sets it as a 0-mana-cost 1s-duration Bound Longsword Spell (allows for the best scaling as your skill in Conjuration improves and allows you to make custom spells with specific durations via spellmaking, but the lore of Conjuration does not match the lore of Shehai summoning at all)
- The second includes it as a daily Power (no scaling at all, but avoids lore issues)
- The third makes it an Ability (ie. a constant effect. The least directly balanced of the three, relying entirely on the player to set their own rules and then adhere to them. Also avoids lore issues, but if the player can manage the responsibility, does grant the possibility for scaling.)

Note: It is STRONGLY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to only use the constant-effect version of the mod with OpenMW, due to a glitch with bound weapons and repairing that exists in the base game (see UESP for details on the glitch).

OBTAINING THE BOOK IN-GAME
====================================
Almost all Redguard NPCs from the base game and both expansions have a small chance of carrying the Book on their person.
All booksellers have a medium chance of stocking the book (with one merchant having a better chance than others).
There is a copy available for perusal in the Library of Vivec, but it is owned.
For extra credit, you can get an alternate start or starting inventory mod and modify it to give you a copy. Be sure to load this mod before the alternate start/starting inventory mod if you do.
If you really want to, you can always achieve CHIM and figure out the book's ID and give it to yourself via the console.

COMPATIBILITY
====================================
This mod should not have any major incompatibilities. It does change some NPC/container inventories, as well as the Library of Vivec cell, so you will definitely want to run TES3Merge to ensure nothing goes missing.

REQUIREMENTS
====================================
The base game and both expansions (that's it!)

INSTALLATION
====================================
Unpack the files to your Data Files directory (located in the same folder as Morrowind.exe). You only need to enable one version of the .esp. Don't forget to run TES3Merge after installation!

KNOWN ISSUES
====================================
Due to some...unforeseen interactions...studying the book after 23:00 will not take a full hour.

VERSION HISTORY
====================================
v1.1    May 4 2023    Added third .esp which makes the Shehai spell a Power rather than a Spell or Ability
v1.0    May 2 2023    First release
