Have not tried it yet but your introduction made me laugh, so there's points there at the very least.

Come Nerevar for the mediocre humor, stay for the dodgy design decisions :P

This is a neat idea - I'm interested in how you were able to make this happen in the ESP.
The stats are very strong, any character would benefit from Fort Atk, Sanctuary, etc.

     - could you change it to a daily power of bound sword? CE is totally an overpowered thing. I could almost see this as being a fair addition to your character if every enemy was Graenor.  Even at +10 F.Attack / Sanctuary that is a huge advantage for zero enchantment slots. With a bound sword you are up to +5+25=+30 Long Blade.  I do like it as a role play - but the book should be very hard to get to and a quest could open up every 10 days of study to unlock these amazing bonuses.

Whats your take on that? (>'.')^ by the way, have you seen MerLord's "character background" mod with a Legendary Swordsman RP?

The short answer is 'scripting'. So's the long answer, but there's a lot more cursing in the long answer because scripting in Morrowind is weird and uncomfortable and scripting books is inconsistent even by MW scripting standards.

Sure, I'll get that uploaded in a bit. If you're the self-starting sort, changing it via the Creation Kit is really easy as well - all the spells I added have "boc_" as a prefix, and it should be pretty easy to pick out the Shehai spell. There's a dropdown near the bottom of the spell details pop-up where you can choose between regular Spells, Abilities, Powers etc., just change that to Powers and then give it a Duration and you're golden. I didn't choose to do it as a Power right away as it feels like there's no scaling with that. The scaling in having it as a regular spell should be pretty self-explanatory, and CE allows for players to set their own scaling (granted, not in an enforceable way, as it depends entirely on the user choosing to use the Shehai x times per day or whatever, and then choosing to put the sword away when they're done). Powers, on the other hand, are just one and done, and I felt like I couldn't really do it justice as the duration would either be short enough that the 1/day limitation really pinches at higher character levels or long enough that it might as well be a CE anyways (and in neither case would there be any progression from "fledgling Ansei who can only manifest their Shehai for a strike or two" to "Ansei of the first rank, who can summon their Shehai whenever they need for as long as they need").

I could almost see this as being a fair addition to your character if every enemy was Graenor.  Even at +10 F.Attack / Sanctuary that is a huge advantage for zero enchantment slots. With a bound sword you are up to +5+25=+30 Long Blade.
True, but balance in Morrowind is a bit of an odd beast. The stereotypical Redguard+Combat+Long-Blade-Major combo probably won't notice Fortify Attack +2 unless they're running out of green juice, even at level 1. That said, I did want to make the bonii good enough that a high-level character still gets something out of them. Also, Sword-Singers strike (pun intended) me as the sort to go more ascetic with their late game gear (ie. some would get full Adamantium or Glass, sure, but others would go more towards simple robes, and neither would necessarily be more authentic than the other). Keeping the bonii good helps ease that a bit.

I do like it as a role play - but the book should be very hard to get to and a quest could open up every 10 days of study to unlock these amazing bonuses.
I did wrestle with how accessible the book/spells should be. You're right, it is a decent power boost. However, I didn't want the terminally unlucky to be screwed out of even seeing the book, and thus the goodies, until late-game thanks to unkind RNG. I honestly didn't really think of doing a quest for it as I wanted to keep the scope limited (and thus potential compatibility issues to a minimum). If I end up making a v2, I might put one in, but that'll be a ways off.

Yeah, I saw that mod a while back. I haven't been able to use it as I run OpenMW and OpenMW </3 MWSE, but it looks pretty cool. Assuming that Legendary Swordsman is Famed Warrior, I could see that working out with this mod real well for a Miyamoto Musashi not!Frandar Hunding playthrough.

Edit: Daily Power version is up.
