    Hi,

Thanks for posting this mod as it looks very good. I patched with the suggested 2.01 update.

I am experiencing an issue using MWSE though. When I place most furniture, it appears very dark in relation to everything else around it. This is rather annoying issue as it make the furniture not really fit with the rest of the vanilla furniture. Other than this, I have no issues. Actually, one other thing. It seems to not be friendly with the Glow in the Darhk mod as the new buildings don't support it and it spams errors as a result.

    Thanks. again.

Did you managed to find the solution for the MWSE bug and the furniture being dark? I would really like to buy those boxes to display my artifacts but they are way too dark to see anything...

      No sorry,

I stopped using it and replaced it with Furniture catalogue. Much easier to use.

It's a shame there isn't a version without the empty houses so it can add more compatability.

Regardless definitely going to try this treasure of a mod out !

Hello, i have an issue with this mod, impossible to find Alorit Tiann in the grand council chamber.
I have ALL the home posts but nothing happens, no quest entries in my journal. (idk if there is one... if it start when you take the first one or the last one, or just go to see Alorit Tiann without journal entry needed...)
    Everything else works well.
I started a new game and picked all the house posts again, still no Alorit Tiann, no where, and No i don't killed him...
Someone have an idea, can explain me or give me his character ID??!

This is the first and the only mod I installed after finishing the vanilla.

    Sorry for my english

After searching through the NPCs in the Construction Set since I was having the same issue, I found that Alorit Tiann's ID is "dh_home_alorit_tiann". He shouldn't have a requirement to appear.

I haven't been able to get Alorit Tiann to spawn, however I have figured out how to make the homes "owned". Go into the console and type "set dhHomeOwnX to 1" with X being a number from 1 to 7. 1 is the Balmora property, 2 is the Seyda Neen property, 3 is the Hla Oad property, 4 is the Ald-ruhn property, 5 is the Ebonheart property, 6 is the Gnisis property, and 7 is the Sadrith Mora property.
Works in the latest OpenMW release (0.48.0), if you wanted to know

There is also an addon for this called David Humphreys Furniture mod- 6th House Addon.

Also since the patch in a previous comment no longer has a working link, I found someone had uploaded all of Johnmoonsugar's patches to Nexus.
It's still the same file name:  dh_furn-jms_patch-0.2.7z located at
    Johnmoonsugar Recovered Mods And Patches

And I agree, paperoblivion needs to come back at least to add the endorse button :)

It's a shame there's no "Endorse" button, because I'd definitely give this mod one for being a(n OpenMW-friendly) way of integrating home decorating that not only goes well with other mods and the vanilla game but even incorporates a module allowing you to buy reasonably-priced homes ranging from a small house in Hla Oad to a castle/mansion south of Ebonheart.

Although the home-buying module has limited compatibility with mods that change up the cities they're placed in, it's a very fantastic way of adding the ability to buy player homes into the vanilla world space and there are some city and other home mods that play nice with it (for example, Kilcunda's Balmora and Welcome Home, although there are subtle terrain seams with the former).

Regardless, this was one of the first mods I've ever played with and the home decorating coupled with the module for house-buying greatly invigorated my first few modded playthroughs before I eventually set aside the house-buying module for other city/house mods and used self-imposed rules to ensure pricing similar to what this mod's optional house-buying module does.

As an aside, I also have a soft spot for this mod because I vaguely remember stumbling upon it as a kid trying to get into Morrowind for the first time and, while I was wholly unsuccessful in even getting the game to run (much less densely and chaotically modded, lol), it has become a positive memory I look back on with nostalgia.

Anyone know how to fix the issue of the mannequins on the 'stay still' pose? When I try it they just switch to a death pose instead. Im on OpenMW

It’s a known issue. Try using ManaUser’s Mannequins for Sale instead to get working mannequins. I use it on OpenMW and the two mods work perfectly alongside each other.

This is a great mod for those who like decorating, but by being a old mod it has some problems, the most notable problem is that buying items for a second time makes a crash to desktop since the game changes the item value from 0 to 1 instead of changing from 0 to -1, i think this mostly happens with rebuying mannequins, but looks like it can happen with any item that you already buyed, thankfully i found a link to download a patch in one of reddit forums wich fixes the problem ( you will see some other works for other old mods, the one you're loking for is called "dh_furn-jms_patch-0.2.7z" located on Bug Fixes/Patchs, since it's just a .esp file it is safe to use), i saw that some people say it only works with new save games but that's not true, when i tested the i found a way to make this works with old saves, but you will probably lose all furniture you have ( maybe you won't if you load outside of your house but i can't guarantee), to do so you need to desactivate the Dave Humphrey's mod and load your save game (you can put the patch on datafiles, but don't enable yet), if you already created some stuff and saved close you will probably pop up a ton of error messages, click yes on everything or just keep pressing space until they end, now that you don't have any error message save the game and then close, now open the game launcher, go to data files and enable the furniture mod this time with the patch and it should works fine, now you can make a house with as many mannequins you want without running into errors again.

I didn't created the mod an i don't even know who this guy is, but his patch works and fix a major problem, so it's probably a must have for Dave Humphrey's Furniture

In my personal thinking, this furniture mod should be ported to script extender (maybe with a simpler version), but since nobody did it, we should work with what we have.

Were you playing on Vanilla exe or OpenMW ? ( If that even matter tho, seeing the cause of the bug lol )
In any case, if I stumble on the same bug as you, I’ll know what to do ! Thanks much for the feedback and everything !

Edit : I’ve put it, after all ^^ No need to wait for a bug to occur if I can fix it before ! Thanks much !
Can’t believe I can’t endorse the mod, That’s the only decorator I found for OpenMW, and damn, so good !

Im playing on the Vanilla with MGE XE, that's why i mentioned moving the mod script extender (i forgot about Openmw XD), but yes, looks like this bug occurs on any engine since it's a flaw on the mod and not on engine, you can try to recreate it and see if it happens or not, looks like that to cause it you need to buy the furniture ring for the first time with any other furniture (notice that the furniture you gonna buy is the one you gonna break) that the merchant sells and finish buying, when you try to buy the same furnite again it will make a CTD (crash to desktop) no matter what you do, most of the times it happens when trying out the mod for the first time.

But yeah, why wait for the bug to occur anyway, i found out that this bug was somehow common on some old foruns and looks like this link that i found is from the only guy who manage to fixed it and almost nobody notices, so i thinked it was important to share it to make this bug-crash dissapear forever, i think that since this simple mod that i linked fixes the problem it would be better if added to the files, but maybe i will add it myself if that don't happen.

I would love to endorse it too, i guess that paperoblivion didn't want to get too much endorsements from a mod he didn't made.
  10. Is this compatible with OpenMW?
