Notes on Wares

Wares is at heart, a large collection of levelled lists (wares lists) for all types of weapons, armour, clothes, ingredients, potions and miscellaneous items.
Wares then distributes items in wares lists to traders, npcs and containers (depending on the options you select.)

So Wares has 2 aspects:
- take items from mods and put them in lists
- add lists into mods via traders/npcs/containers

For mods that ADD TO wares lists, see Wares-aware mods (The Warehouse is a good place to start)

Warsifier deals with the second part of wares: giving traders, npcs and containers those wares lists. And you can do that by simply dropping a plugin in Waresifier

Changes when you Waresifiy your pluginsWhat happens to your plugin?

  • Select what you want: an esp replacer or a patch
An esp replacer has all the contents of the mod PLUS wares modifications.
A patch only has the wares modifications and needs to be loaded together with the original mod
  • Choose how you want wares items to appear in your games
Npcs from mods don't get more items but instead, have a more diversified inventory. Fargoth for example might get a different shirt, but still only 1.
Containers from mods work exactly like NPC inventory: some items are replaced, and none are added.
Traders from mods will be given an invisible chest with wares matching their class.

High-end gear, enchanted, quest and unique items are IGNORED and. No one gets Daedric gear, and Divyath Fyr keeps his armour.
Some factions and classes were ignored: Guard still have their uniforms and no one decides to suddenly wear Dark Brotherhood armour.
