This mod is always a must-have for me in my Morrowind playthroughs. I am quite curious though about making some original / new voice lines, does anyone happen to know which specific files this mod calls for in the Data Files folder?
It would be cool if you could use ElevenAI to create new dialogue and insults. I guess I'm the only one who find it out of place to have the PC using the insult, N'Wah, because that is an insult that is reserved for Outlanders/foreigners, which is what the player character is at the start of the game. It's kind of like an American calling a Mexican a gringo, when visiting Mexico. It doesn't make any sense.
Anyhow, awesome mod. I would use it, but only if the dialogue was more original and not generic NPC insults used towards the outlander player character.
Stripes coded it to spawn an NPC that sets your character up on the first load into the mod. If that doesn't do it then you might have to start the script manually using the console. Check the bottom of the readme for how to do that.
Also, for some reason the mod doesn't work in non-OpenMW Morrowind. I think it may be because of the way I used the random function in the scripts. The original mod Stripes made is the opposite--it only works in the vanilla Morrowind engine. That might be the issue.
Does this mod work woth all spells, or just combat spells? It doesn't make sense to shout every time I recall or heal but it does when I summon a sword or throw a fireball.
It specifically plays a voice line whenever you ready a spell after having a weapon raised, otherwise it will not. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is a way to code it within Morrowind to check exactly which type of spell is selected; Only when a spell is readied.
While it is kinda funny when your character calls a door a filthy s'wit, is it possible to disable the voicelines when your chacater only has tools like probes and lockpicks equipped instead of weapons?
I didn't know there was a function to detect lockpicks but there is! I noticed that too and it was immersion breaking. Thanks for pointing it out so I could fix it. I uploaded a v3.1 to download if you'd like.
