About this mod

Hides the interface when you don't need it. Differs between hiding everything, showing everything, or just showing the crosshair based on a ruleset.

inom – User interface hider
Just another MWSE-lua mod

– Features

Hides the interface, when you probably don't need it!
* Whenever your hands are idle, you're out of combat, not doing much or travelling the roads - the interface hides.
* Draw a weapon, use a potion, cast a spell, open the inventory, the interface shows itself again for a short while.
* Enter sneak, look at an item, draw your bow back - the crosshair shows itself; so you can target stuff with precision.
* While sneaking, the sneak icon will show/hide as normal based on your hidden status.
* In combat or with low health - the interface is never hidden.
* If you're using Ashfall - the interface is never hidden while resting, so you can watch your health regen process.
* There's also a configurable toggle hotkey (default Alt-X) to disable hiding the interface for three minutes.

– Installation

Requirements
MGE XE v0.13.4 or later - which comes with MWSE v2.1

Installation
Just place the contents of the zip file into your "Data Files" folder, there is no .esp-file to activate.

– Compatibility

Other mods with their own rulesets for showing and hiding the GUI are not compatible as the functionality would double up.

Mods changing or extending the crosshair should be compatible, as long as they use the "MultiMenu" to attach their crosshairs
All the crosshair-mods I tested do exactly that.

Recommended mods

I personally use:
Ownership Indicator by Petethegoat
Alex's Crosshair Replacer by AngryKarakuri

As well as my other user interface mods:
inom - Inventory mouse wheel
inom - Main menu replacers
inom - Splash screen replacers

– Background

I love clean user interfaces, the less clutter the better. I know there are some mods who already try to fix this, but I often ended up either struggling to pick up a coin or a ring - because I had no crosshair. Or I was unable to target properly with my bow out of combat, not getting in that crucial "first hit". This is my attempt to solve hiding the GUI by having a large ruleset and differing between "crosshair only" or hiding/showing everything.

Thanks
Thanks to Bethesda Game Studios for making Morrowind, probably the most intricate RPG-sandbox ever.
Thanks to NullCascade for making MWSE-lua, a more civil way to script mods for Morrowind.
Thanks to Merlord for adding the events I needed to support Ashfall.
Thanks to Greatness7, Hrnchamd, Axemagister, Necrolesian, NullCascade and many more from the Morrowind Modding Community for helping me understand the events that went into this mod, you guys are awesome.
