I always just thought that it was in-lore that, by being enchanted, a weapon inherently became good enough to hit a Ghost or other creature. It even says in one of the Xbox loading screen tips that "Some creatures are immune to normal weapons, use a Silver or Magic weapon instead", which to me kind of implied that the Magic of an enchantment made the weapon able to hit the incorporeal.

I'm not entirely sure how lore-friendly this mod is, I don't remember there being any in-game references to it (as in actual dialogue or similar), but this mod isn't really supposed to fix lore related issues as much as it is to balance the gameplay. The resistance to normal weapons effect in my opinion is really interesting, but in the vanilla game there isn't really any point in it, given how easy it is to obtain enchanted weapons.

That's totally fair. There are so many ways to bypass the resistance that I sometimes even forget that they have it, honestly. I'm glad you were able to make this mod so that it's a more relevant resistance to consider.

Yeah the mod does a bad job at selecting which weapon/ammo should hit, iron arrows can hit for example, but not steel arrows ? And any enchanted weapon/ammo should hit, you have an example of that in the main quest when you given some super basic weapon with just the' weakest of enchantments so that it can hit undeads.
So : don't use it, or if you do be super careful at what you use !
