I came in expecting something different, but this is very well thought-out. I still prefer the "standard" Atronach, as I think its drawbacks make it very advantageous for a fighter/caster or rogue/caster type character. That said, I could honestly see myself using this on a pure-caster run if I ever get the itch :)

Yeah, the weakness to normal weapons and less spell absorption do kinda shift the preferred build to pure casters compared to Atronach, I guess it's because I've mainly been choosing Atronach for those kind of characters so I had that in mind. I know. But teleporting to a shrine, absorbing, teleporting back...kinda seems just like resting with added steps. I wanted a more active approach to regaining magicka, and more differentiated from non-atronach mages. So what do you think?
I was just pointing killing ghosts is not the only way to get some magic to absorb. Personally I find the little challenge of recharging magic as a way to balance the sign strength, but there will surely be who appreciate an easier way to get magicka.
