Use Wares Ultimate instead, select the NPC purist option.

Randomly replace stock armour and weapons on npcs and in containers with TR variants.
No armour or weapon was added
The TR variants are vanilla-friendly and have the exact same values (damage, defence, price, etc)
List of vanilla gear that may be replaced (30% chance) by TR variants for 600+ npcs, 60+ containers:
WEAPONS
Iron war axe, iron throwing knife, iron tanto, iron saber, iron dagger, iron broadsword
Steel throwing knife, steel shortsword, steel longsword, steel dagger, steel broadsword
Nordic battle axe,
Silver staff, silver dagger
Daedric longsword, ebony shortsword
ARMOUR
Chitin helm, Colovian fur helm
Iron pauldrons, iron helmet, iron greaves, iron cuirass, iron bracers, iron boots
Netch leather helm, netch leather cuirass
Dreugh helm
Dwemer shield
Ebony helm
nordic ringmail cuirass
orcish helm
silver cuirass
steel pauldrons, steel helm, steel cuirass
daedric towershield, Daedric pauldrons, Daedric helm, Daedric boots
IMPORTANT
The plugin must be loaded last (just before merged objects and merged levelled lists)
Not doing so will not break your game, but you will most likely not see the equipment variants.
