cptPauer You have no texture folder bh in the bsa-archive, so through NifSkope the meshes from the bh folder are completely white, but  in the game for some reason everything looks good. After I put the bh-textures in their folder, many bh .nif-s  have no textures for ears (human ears, elf ears, elfears, Tri DS_Dark Elf_M_Hair_02).

I love this mod, and it's still essential in my game. :3 Ty! <3

Btw, in your description, you said, "Tip: since there are no Khajiit, you can use: MacKoms Khajiit? (replacer for Khajiit)". However, MacKom removed all his files not long ago, rendering many mods that use them and/or recommend them in their descriptions obsolete.

I was wondering, what is another good Khajiit replacer in your opinion you would recommend?

You probably aren't even playing the game anymore but in case you're still looking for a good Khajiit replacer https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43110

These faces look great! What hair pack are you using in the preview pictures?

Hey, is there an easy way for me to tell which file correlates with which face? I'd like to pick and choose, but there are a huge number of files. Images of faces with related names for the relevant files would be the most convenient, I think.

For example, the bottom-left Dunmer female face on the 2nd image looks a lot better than Better Heads' version, so I specifically want to use that one.

      bottom-left Dunmer female
      Medila Indaren.
Here is meshes if you need it.
Can be used as standalone pluginless replacer for this type of head.
      Info:
      Spoiler:
      Show

      Meshes:
      war_xde_f6.nif // aka b/b_n_dark elf_f_head_06.nif
      bh_fp_de_f_hair_17r.nif // aka b/b_n_dark_elf_f_hair_17.nif

      Textures:
      mrh/war_xde_female06.dds
      mrh/war_femme_noglow.dds
      mrh/bh_bg_de_hair_01a.dds
      mrh/fp2a.dds

I'd like to pick and choose, but there are a huge number of files. Images of faces with related names for the relevant files would be the most convenient, I think.
      365 files!!
      Not possible at the moment.

I am just take screenshots (while playing) from faces that I don't like. Then I can fix them later.
Maybe in future I will convert the mod to modular (races) but I can't make any promises.

Hey, is there an easy way for me to tell which file correlates with which face?
      No, I believe.

But technically you can. Use TES Construction Set.
      For example:
      Spoiler:
      Show

      1. Find an NPC in the game and remember its name
      2. Find this NPC in TES Contruction Set in Object Window->NPC tab and remember its vanilla default NIF names (example: "b_n_dark elf_f_head_06"  and "b_n_dark_elf_f_hair_17")
      3. Open omwaddon in HEX editor (HxD can be recommended) and search "b_n_dark elf_f_head_06" or what you have above. You can find something like "lf_m_head_01 MODL BH\BH_DS_DE_m_H02-01.NIF". That is a real NIF for a model.
      4. That's it. You can search this NIF ("BH_DS_DE_m_H02-01.NIF" for example) among the files and rename it to vanilla default name for that NPC. It will be a pluginless replacer then. If you wanted to create an esp, then use "add animation file" in TES Contruction Set, choose a new NIF and save as a new plugin.

As for textures, you can see that in openmw.log if something is missing
Example: "Failed to open image: Resource 'textures/mrh/war_xde_female06.dds' not found"

Perhaps there are more convenient ways (tools) are exists, but..

Images of faces with related names
It doesn't make much sense since (most) NPCs shared meshes/textures and meshes are not individual. So you can't replace a particular NPC head that easy, just by replacing two files. And images with related names not help you a lot.

      Thanks for the reply!

When I said "images of faces with related names", I meant the file names, not character names, lol.

I'll look into checking individual NPCs like that, cool.

Hey, is there an easy way for me to tell which file correlates with which face?
Use unpacked version (not the one with .bsa package). Open any mesh (.nif) file with Nifskope + Morrowind plugin. You will see the model without texture. In the Block List expand nodes until you see "NiSourceTexture" property pointing to .tga or .dds file. To see this texture you can just copy this texture's filename and search for this file i.e. in explorer and when found open in any image viewer, but it will be flat.

Second option is to display it in Nifskope, to do so right click on NiSourceTexture property, select Texture > Choose and find this texture file, basically you have to prepend the texture filename with full absolute directory path leading to this texture file, once you find an existing texture file you will see that texture on the model in Nifskope. Do not save your changes, Morrowind automatically prepends its Data Files location to this path. For example, normally path should resemble something like textures\face-texture.dds, but to display it in Nifskope you have to prepend it with C:\mods\new-faces\textures\face-texture.dds or C:\games\Morrowind\Data Files\textures\face-texture.dds.

Some of the "improved" and "better" textures look better, for others they look cringey and the vanilla still looks better.

Try to use "Improved Heads Original" from optional files section. Maybe you will like it more.
A lot of faces are different in that (older) version. Orcs are not in the warcraft-style (not badass) and wood elves are more like vanilla (not cute).
