Ket, if you're still around, you really need to put better info on the Description page... about how to get this mod to work. Something like this...

"Open up Morrowind Code Patch, click on the Mod Specific category, and toggle "Scriptable Potion Use" on."

... Those of us who DL Ket's Poisons, and are new to MW modding aren't going to know why potions keep winding up in the NPC's inventory instead of poisoning them!

Yes, I am still around. Good point, I've added this hint to the requirements section.

Awesome. Really like this mod, by the way. It's one of the first things I installed once I started play on PC. During my Xbox days I was surprised we can't poison other creatures / NPCs. My first idea for a character was an alchemist who used poison. Was surprised the base game allows us to make poisons, but we can't actually poison anybody with them.

Same Xen, the idea that we can make, then waste ingredients as poisons that we cannae use is just daft. Wonder if it was time constraint or limited resources that made them ignore this glaring issue.

Works very well! Just one suggestion though; it would be nice if you could drink a potion with a first harmful effect by pressing a key (e.g Shift) while drinking it because some very useful homemade potions come with a negative effect and can't drink them.

    Thank you!

It's the key point of my mod — any potion with a first harmful effect is considered as a poison, so this option is unacceptable, sorry.

Just a heads-up - you can alternatively make a blacklist table with object ids in Lua instead of altering the effects of said beverages via an .esp. More compatible that way  as well.

Good point, it would really be more compatible.

Hi, i tried this mod, it's very useful but i have a problem. I don't understand where i'm doing wrong. The poisons apply only on melee weapons and not on ranged weapon. Can you help me please?

It seems to work now. There is one problem: if you fire new arrow after firing the poisoned one, consequences will be unpredictable — i haven't found out the way to detect the projectile the player character is firing.

Fixed. I've missed one check on range attack. Shame on me =/

Whatever I do, this doesn't work for me, at least without non-vendor esp... Does it work for anyone else?

Edit: It started working for the fresh installation, but instead of applying poison, it moves it into the target's inventory upon successful hit O_O
    Anyone else with this issue?

I've figured it out. You need Morrowind Code Patch. It enables scripted NPC potion drinking. Added it to requirements, sorry for not doing it earlier.

Hopefully this mod will work, unlike
    Poison Redux-ion
which turned out a total failure for me..

Sounds great! Would you happen to know whether your mod avoids the unresolved Poison Crafting bug of ranged weapons applying poison even if they miss?

I've tried my best to register ranged weapon damage properly. Seems to be working. Anyway, if something goes wrong, it will rather not apply poison if you hit target via ranged attack than apply it if you miss, so there is no marksman exploit.

Does this inherently allow you to apply poisons via a quick key, similar to how one would take a potion assigned to a quick key?
