This is extremely helpful for finding lost companions and others who move around! Would it be too cheat-y to include a teleport function too? Just a simple click-n-poof to jump to my lost NPC's location? Pretty please? With moonsugar and comberries on top?
the full cheaty version (including a way to find and teleport to NPCs who are not quest givers) is more or less already available in qqqbbb's cheat menu mod
Thanks! i gave the Cheat Menu a try, and it's certainly useful...but almost TOO useful. i like yours better because it addresses ONE purpose. in my particular (test) situation, the NPC i wanted to reach doesn't seem to show, i assume because they're an "animal" companion, which doesn't show up in Cheat Menu's search. They show up in Who's Where though because i've engaged with them in dialogue before. Even if my pet companion's name popped up in Cheat Menu, what if i don't exactly remember the name of the character i want to reach, or how to spell it? i like that your list is relatively uncluttered, shorter and specific to NPCs you have prior business with. Who's Where tackles a specific problem. it's in the name! So to me it just makes logical sense to follow through with the most likely thing the user would want to do with the information it gives. When you search for a contact on your phone, you don't just see a static display of their number. You're usually given an additional option to "Call" or "Text". Quick, easy, purposeful. -and no tempting "infinite money and health" buttons nearby either!
So my suggestion still stands. -but that's all: Just as a suggestion. Not a "pLeAsE MaKe wHaT i wAnT!!" demand. (i promise, i was just being cute) Thanks again for being so damn awesome and making this awesome game so much awesomer. :)
Ok, I will try to add an option for cheaters to teleport and for non-cheaters to copy the location to clipboard so it can be pasted e.g. to calendar mod
Hey Ilan if you are using the MWSE Random NPC mod, give a try to the updated smart heads, we probably found the 2 mods to be incompatible and a fix for it
Basically they are the NPCs who talked about some topic first. No more planned changes anyway as I had already problems having all of them display correctly with the big mod list I am using and had to revert back from MCM library to standard MWSE-UI controls to be able to make it work
