About this mod

A new land, a little larger than Solstheim with eventually as much content as Bloodmoon (if not more).

It has come to my attention that Esroniet will be covered in a future Tamriel Rebuilt side project. In an effort to prevent overlap, I have decided to relocate and rename the island. The latest update has the same ESP name, but future updates will feature the new island name.
The following will be maintained:
  • Island shape and layout
  • Kothringi and Frog-headed beast race presence (new beast race will be renamed).

The following will be changed:
  • Island name.
  • Imperial presense (or lack thereof)
  • Anyting named after locations mentioned in lore (Black Harbor), will be renamed.

I'll do my best to keep in line with lore established by Tamriel Rebuilt.

An island based off of what I imagine Esroniet might be like, as described in the book Disaster at Ionith from Oblivion.

Current Features:
  • Different experience for Argonians: Argonians have access to unique main quest paths, but are locked out of others (In progress).
  • Tons of conflicting quests with unique rewards for every possible ending (In progress).
  • Fleshlifting: Rumor has it that those with the ability to steal flesh from the living are lurking somewhere on the island. If you find them and work with them, you may discover the advantages and disadvantages that eating flesh brings (Complete, unique items can be harvested from all Vanilla races and races added by the mod).
  • External weather impacts internal lighting and sounds. Hear rain outside when standing near doors or windows. No light from the outside at night or during fog/rain (looks best with Glow in the Dahrk). Weather sounds work along side or without Kirel's Interior Weather.
  • Outsider-unfriendly Kothringi. Work to earn their trust to be granted more and more access to the island (In progress).

FOMOD supports default Morrowind, Lyithdonea, or Tamriel Rebuilt. Currently, the only difference is where you sail to Esroniet from. I felt that it would be more organic if you could reach Esroniet from your most Eastern landmass only, so the different options are provided for different mod installations. The suspicious sailor who will take you to Esroniet is located around the Omaren Ancestral Tomb of Vvardenfell in the vanilla version,  around the Port of Lyithdonea for the Lyithdonea version, and south of Fort Umbermoth along the coast in the Tamriel Rebuilt version.

Although it is currently incomplete, I encourage you to explore it and provide me with feedback. At the very least, it will spruce up your distant land if you use it.

Special Thanks to:
  • Karatekid5 for the texturing questions.
  • AlekseiAlatin for the large tower resources.

  • michael163377 for making Glowing Bitter Coast, which has the glow maps used for Luminescent Flora.
  • Bethesda for Morrowind, the rest of the Elder Scrolls games, and support of the modding community in general.

Current Known Issues:
  • Not all exteriors have interiors.
  • Most interiors are barren or placeholders.
  • Not all quests have endings.
  • Not all doors go somewhere.
