Hey any chance since I think you might be the only one working on this mod if you could help me?
I've lost the ship totally and can't find a way to get to it or respawn it. The door glitch happened to me awhile back (thanks for fixing that) and I just ditched it somewhere. D:
Sorry for delay, I really miss notification feature for new messages in the forum.
If you still not found ship you can try to place your player on top of it with console command: Player->Position KS_SR_Ship_X, KS_SR_Ship_Y, 200, KS_SR_Ship_Angle
I did manage to find the ship after an hour or so of searching. However, that is a fantastic console code and I feel you should consider putting that in your description of the mod or something.
Beyond that, is there a way to fix the door glitch without making a new save? I'm pretty deep in my save but havent found a way to fix it without a new game. I even destroyed the ship and bought a new one.
Unfortunately looks like it storing variables in save file. Maybe this workaround help to recreate door and hatch after fast travel. Try to run those console commands after you found that door/hatch missing (maybe even several times): set KS_SR_Ship_Sailmode to 1 startscript KS_SR_Ship_Create_Door startscript KS_SR_Ship_Create_Hatch
Is the boat being entirely uncontrollable part of the original mod? WASD all do absolutely random things including turn, accel, decel, or reverse. Doesn't matter what I press. Unsure if Stormrider has the same problem because testing out the boat made me not want to drop the money on it yet.
Edit: I just bought it to test it and my god it is MUCH worse. In basically every concievable way. Actually unplayable. IDK if another mod is interfering or if it's just broken by the newest OpenMW (I'm on 0.49), but I can't have a ship for my Maormer character and that makes me the BIG sad.
Edit 2: Been doing some troubleshooting because I wanna play with this super bad, but I cannot figure out what mod or OpenMW setting would be causing this behaviour. It seems to be a LITTLE better with the smooth movement setting in OpenMW off, but still incredibly difficult to sail and does random things. Got in one specific fun moment where no matter what i did it would only go full speed to the left in a big circle.
Try first person - doesn't seem to work in third person very well. But if you switch to first person and reduce speed by holding back it's much better.
On OpenMW 0.49 the door and trapdoor of the ship disappear when fast traveling to Azura's Coast, Sheogorad etc. Can you try it too and reproduce the issue? If so, I will open an issue on the OpenMW issue tracker.
UPDATE: apparently there's a bug in your patch, according to an OpenMW dev. More technical info here: https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/issues/7930#note_2016317180
Sorry, have not been here a while. Unfortunately do not have time and Tamriel Rebuit installed. But most problems is syntax errors, so I can teach how to to fix and if you have TES Construction set you can do it yourself. By the way, there is a chance that current fix will work with Tamriel Rebuit, give it a shot, just add fix in the mod list after KS_Stormrider.
I have just been testing this with OpenMW 0.48 and it largely seems to work with the testing I have done so far. But the main issue I have is that seemingly there is no direct dialog with the Merchant in Ebonheart that allows you to buy the boat and ship. The dialog is a bit randomised and you have to talk to him several times to get the "specific place" dialog which contains the word "ship" highlighted as an additional topic (but the word is used in another context). This then allows you to initiate the purchasing dialog. I get the same using your fix with both the original mod and the TR version mentioned below.
Any thoughts? Anyway, thanks for your efforts to get this basically working under OpenMW.
I have not been able to get this to work at all? I don’t understand why. No one in the EEC has any dialogue options to purchase the ship no matter who I ask or which dialogue options I click. I have OpenMW 48 and the original Stormrider that’s compatible and I’ve messed with my load order 600 times :/
To buy ship talk with Corrudus Olcinius in East Empire Comany Hall. Just after enter take left door, then another left door. Male breton standing there. Talk about "My trade" and choose highlighted word "ship" in his response. Its a bit tricky but its how it supposed to be from the author of the mod (I only fixed OpenMW bugs).
Is there a way to fix the rare bug where you get randomly teleported on the boat? EDIT: Apparently it's not an OpenMW incompatibility, it used to happen on vanilla Morrowind too. It's just some mysterious quirky behaviour of the mod itself.
For what it's worth, I've only noticed this error occur when I leave the ship and enter the Balmora area. When entering the cell that would have to load balmora, I automatically spawn in the position of the cabin or hatch that I last left.
If I don't go into either and command teleport to Balmora I have no problems, but if I go back in and out of one of them and try to teleport I get the same error again.
Otherwise it is an excellent fix of a great mod. I have enjoyed many hours thanks to it. Thank you very much for this mod.
P.S: Sorry for my google-translate english if something in my post is not clear.

I think it's an OpenMW bug.
Fast travel on Stormrider makes hatch and door of the ship disappear (#7930) · Issues · OpenMW / openmw · GitLab
For some reason Nexus Forum sent me notification about your message just now
I will check with 0.49 and let you know :)
From what I tested so far, this issue can happen randomly on 0.48 and 0.49 too. But in 0.49 it seems to be more frequent.I wonder if this is reproducible on Morrowind.exe.
Yes, i can confirm that.
And in 0.48 it happens less, I tried to travel about 20 times and hatch was on the place.

I'm glad to hear that my work appreciated.
Could you, if you have time, maybe make it compatible to the Stormrider Tamriel Rebuilt mod from here:

?

Getting ship is tricky which made it valuable.
