I have Tomb of the Snow Prince installed because I want Solstheim to be on the right place when Mainland is finished (and Solstheim looks so much better in TotSP) So right now I use Welcome Home no Solstheim because of that but it would be nice if you could also make a Welcome Home TotSP. There is a very good place for a house on the left side of a watchtower in the new Skaal Village. I think about the watchtower which is located near the well.
Love this mod, but how am I supposed to get into the Skaal house? I must have missed the exact moment to ask Tharsten about the house because he's gone and I've finished the main Bloodmoon quest and I still can't get into the house lol
I've been unable to keep up with this mod's maintenance as much as I'd like to, and haven't been as responsive on here either. I apologize. I've given potatisblast the go ahead to post the edited version without journal/quest entries. I'd also like to this opportunity to thank them for creating the edited version. Take care everyone. I'll see you again some day in Tamriel.
Hi is the mod updated I didn't see it under the download section of this mod, or on your profile. Would really appreciate if it is available for download!
I absolutely adore this mod. The lore friendly nature is amazing, the variety is great, and the fact you actually have to purchase them extremely immersive. I bought my Dark Seducer the Hla Oad shack and it's been her home away from home ever since. The gloominess of that village is very nice for someone that hails from the Swamps of Dementia.
https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/55490, though I have made extensive modifications (mesh fixes, texture adjustments, an underwear texture, ect...) to it for my (at the moment) personal version: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/images/10528
But there's a caveat, and if there was a way to downvote it, I would. The mod hijacks the local "latest rumors" to add a topic about the housing available in the town. However, it adds this as a QUEST, not a TOPIC. Which means that it will remain in your quest log forever, or until you purchase the property. Declining to buy it doesn't remove the entry, you need to actually purchase it.
So "thank" you very much for cluttering up my journal with two dozen pointless quest entries.
I've been using this mod for years. Was a must have for my Morrowind playthroughs. I was messing around with my mods in Vortex and I accidentally uninstalled this mod. Now, no matter what I do, I can't get the mod to work again. Installing through Vortex doesn't work, manual installation doesn't work.
A major bummer because I did this while in the middle of a playthrough, and have now lost a bunch of items I really did not want to lose.
Anyone know of a fix or how to get this mod to work again? I'd like to recover the items I lost in this playthrough, but if I can't, I would at least like to be able to get the mod itself to work again.
Turns out the mod wasn't enabled in the Data Files for the game. I had to launch with Morrowind Launcher.exe and enable them manually. Fixed it right up.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, neither the NPCs for the houses, nor the houses themselve show up for me. I have tried it with my current game and a fresh game. Tried it both as manual install as listed in the readme and as Vortex install.
I hope someone out there can give me a hint. Haven't played Morrowind in years and neve really modded it. Thanks in advance.
For anyone running into the same troubles here is what solved it for me:
For some reason, some of my mods were not activated, even though they were listed active in Vortex/NexusModManager. Because of the mod 'Enchant Constant Effect Earlier' I had TESTool installed (to remove the evil GMST), which has an option to 'manage active plugins'. After activating the mods in here I finally got it to run.
After all these years this mod still is in 2024 a must have, due to the way most homes are placed, conflicts are minimal if you stick to vanilla friendly mods and making space available on some of your mods is just a few clicks away in the construction set if it ever comes to that which to my experience has not happened yet.
You're probably using the Balmora rebuild mod which makes some changes here. Try opening the console ( ~ ) click on the rock or terrain, type disable and press enter. It helped me.
