About this mod

Featuring a withdrawn abode above the spymaster for the player to "avoid unwanted attention." Simple and sparse as it begins, but just like the player with potential. Decorate, customize, add loot and spoil during your playthrough. This is a reworking of a player home mod by Pastagon. Ownership/script/GMST fixed version of the original mod here too

The spymaster wanted for the player to "avoid unwanted attention", and while he did say we could use
HIS bed, surely he was talking about the other one in his upper room.  Right?

This mod adds a basic house in Balmora that the player can use to sleep and store their items.  It includes only basic amenities such as a bed, a table with two chairs, a chest, and a bookshelf.  The home is located on top of Caius Cosades', built slightly into the hill.  Rather like the player there is nothing great about you as you get off the boat, but maybe you'll drop off some artifacts and comely things on the shelves and tables as you go on.  This home is intended to be a simple, seamless, and sensible start for a shipped off prisoner and novice Blade.

* New 3.1 version: "Not So Simple Balmora Player Home" is available.  Features game progression integration, new decorations and better stylizing.
There are some faction rank requirements for picking up some of Caius' more costly items BTW if you don't see the rank requirement with your "Show Owned = " morrowind.ini/OpenMW.cfg preference.

The original mod had a bunch of ownership issues, way too many valuables, and things a little too useful, for so very early in the game just laying around (if that's what you need download the Miscellaneous file fixed version), the outdoor appearance didn't correspond with its dimensions inside.  It even had a rogue script issue in which he accidentally triggered an invisible quest event that later soft locks the expansions and also negatively effects the main quest a little.  Along with accidentally adding something else fun which I thought was cool and left it in for my version, or his too optionally.  The placement of the home was its strong suit.  You may have noticed I included a small amount of the still relevant parts of its original description in this one.  This is a link to the original player home mod and a fixed version is in my Miscellaneous Files:

[Installation]

This mod is one .esp file and Vanilla, OpenMW, or MGE XE compatible and shouldn't conflict with other mods.  And I have tried ones that, very theoretically, could have. (Morrowind Rebirth, Morrowind Rebuilt, Morrowind Content Restoration, Balmora Expansion, Epic Balmora, etc)  Probably requires Bloodmoon and Tribunal.  This is my first attempt at Construction Set so if I break something or accidentally resurrect the tribe unmourned message me and/or make a bug report.  If you wanna suggest something, Post it.

Option 1: "Manual Download", unarchive the .zip, and copy the .esp into your Data Files folder.  Check the .esp in the Morrowind Launcher menu option "Data Files" or if using OpenMW check the .esp in the Launcher Plugin tab.

Option 2: "Mod Manager Download", and install using Vortex (or NXM associated preferred mod manager like Wyre Mash)

Option 3: "Manual Download" and put in installers folder for Wyre Mash, Morrowind Mod Manager or preferred manager.

[Load order]

Later or last, but probably doesn't matter as it shouldn't conflict or interact with other mods.

[Uninstallation]

Uncheck the .esp from your plugins menu and/or delete it from your Data Files Folder using windows explorer.  Otherwise uninstall it in the installers/installed tab of your preferred mod manager.
