1. DESCRIPTION

Something's Not Right adds randomly-choosen descriptive messages upon nearing a dungeon location or when the player exits a dungeon, informing what the character feels, smells or notices depending on the dungeon's type and inhabitants. Several dungeons, mostly main quest dungeons, also have unique messages at some points inside the locations.

For example, your character may feel uneasy upon approaching a vampire lair, notice animal tracks close to a Nix Hound cave or smell woodsmoke near a bandit cave. The messages show up when you are close enough to a dungeon's entrance, thus possibly hinting that the location is close-by if you didn't notice it first.

There are also messages that show only once inside several locations, mostly main quest dungeons (main game, Tribunal and Bloodmoon), describing the overall atmosphere in key areas.

These kind of messages were inspired by those present in the Elder Scrolls II : Daggerfall and Arena. I think that being able to know what your character smells or how he feels the air around him help you immerse yourself a bit more in your character's skin.

The mod has been cleaned using john.moonsugar's TES3cmd utility and no existing content from the game has been changed in any way.

2. REQUIREMENTS/RECOMMENDATIONS

Required:

The latest version Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon
If using HOTV Solstheim Tomb of the Snow Prince or Anthology Solstheim, see next point.

3. INSTALLING THE PLUG-IN

You have three possible versions you can use, depending if you have Vvardenfell and Solstheim Worldspace Remaster (also known as VSW) or Anthology Solstheim (AS) installed. If you have one of those two mods, install them first following their installation instructions and then proceed to Something's Not Right.

Select only the mod file corresponding to your situation and extract it to your Morrowind/Data Files directory and use your favored modding utility to load it into your game.

4. PLAYING THE PLUG-IN

In the Morrowind Launcher or your favored modding utility, activate the correct ESP file for your setup that you choose earlier.

5. SAVE GAMES

You do not need to start a new game to see the changes.

6. CONFLICTS/KNOWN ERRORS

No conflicts should be present by using this mod. The only thing to note is that if a mod changes a dungeon's exterior door's location, the message trigger may not play at the right place.

7. LEGAL STUFF/DISCLAIMER

The mod may be distributed/translated without my authorization as long as I am credited as the author. Spread the love!
