MUSE 2.02 finally got its way, you can download it now. For further information look at main page of the mod.

For some reason the combat music isn't playing. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hello everyone. Tell me please, do you have any problems with music? Everything worked fine for me before, but now music switches very poorly between regions. You enter the dungeons, the music immediately changes, but when you go back out into the field, the music from the dungeon remains, and I smell the flowers to the disturbing music from the tomb. Crossing the borders of a region, music should change, but it does not change, or changes for a very long time.

P.S. Of course, Regions are in queue or whatever I have turned off in MUSE)

Since OpenMW has functional extended scripting now with 0.49, can we get a port of this to OpenMW? And/or would you be okay with someone porting it themselves and posting it?

If anyone is looking for a MUSE alternative for OpenMW 0.49, it already exists: Dynamic Music (OpenMW Only)

It seems region tracks are overriding whatever I put in the cell folder....for instance, the tracks I put in the Ascadian Isles folder play while I'm in Balmora. I dunno what's causing it

I'm having this same problem and I'd be really happy if someone provided a solution.
All I can find is an error involving the cell lua and the MSConfig file but I don't know how to fix that.

EDIT: Reinstalling it with wrye mash fixed it for me. I don't know what was wrong, but my guess atm on my end was that after updating MWSE maybe some refs or paths or something got mucked up or something.

Not sure if it's a conflict with something else, but this seems like it's causing memory leaks or some other memory issue and causing crashes.  In addition to the water music issue (which is annoying but easily fixed), it makes it hard to recommend anyone use this mod until it's fixed.

Would this work in OpenMW 0.49?

Has there ever been a definitive statement on the priorities? Is Priority 0 the highest or Priority 5?

Turns out higher number is higher priority, which explains a lot of what's been funky with my install of it

Damn! If only someone with modding experience would make this compatible with Open Morrowind...

Exactly! This mod is the only reason that keeps me playing Vanilla Morrowind over OpenMW

      @Pichu666

Fingers crossed for someone to do this...

As suggested earlier in the comments (thank you, by the way!) it seems that sample rate can be a factor causing some tracks to crash. I had a few tracks which kept crashing when I'd eliminated everything else and this turned out to be the problem.

The solution to this was to open each mp3 in Audacity, select tracks, then resample at 44100 hz. Afterwards, export them as .mp3.

I am so happy to have these corrected and hope this is helpful to anyone having the same issue.
