I've been looking for a player home that's really basic with not too much storage, so that the larger homes you get later on are a reward. It's sort of how Oblivion and Skyrim work--there are small, affordable houses early on, but they're not as good as what you can acquire later (and upgrades cost you). Upgrades aside, I just want a small place to call home early in the game that doesn't invalidate what you can get later on.
If not, I suppose I can mod these limitations in the creation kit myself, but I'm lazy and have no experience with it. :P
Sorry for late reply. This house should work very well as an affordable early-on home before ramping up to the bigger ones. However, there is unfortunately not very much storage space - a few crates in the basement, some sacks in the stairwell - but there is plenty shelving, table and floor space for leaving items around in the open. Hope you've found something to suit your needs in the meantime!
Unfortunately, I have not tested with Rebirth as I do not use/have it. However, from what I can tell, Rebirth adds a forge and some clutter where I've placed the residence. So there is a slight incompatibility as you might in the least get some objects clipping through the wall of the house.
I'll look into it, as long as there is not anything vital placed in the area by Rebirth, it should be a simple fix. Otherwise I'm not sure there is any more readily available room in town for the house. I will let you know on here. :) Edit: I tested it in Rebirth and don't see an easy fix - the house should be relocated entirely. However, the mod is fully functional and I consider the incompatibility minor. You do lose access to the cellar, and there are model collisions on the side, and on the back of the house - though they aren't immediately obvious. I'll upload some pictures of the collisions and you can consider if you'd like to give it a try.
