    Unfortunately been getting a recurring glitch in Paxon's AI. He just starts running in a seemingly random direction, bumping into solid objects and eventually getting stuck while still sprinting as fast as his little legs can go. When I move far enough away that he warps to me, he doesn't stop running. He ignores commands I give him to stay or follow, his acorn summons him but doesn't stop his behavior, and whacking him a few times doesn't end his feverish racing. I haven't put any potions or scrolls in his inventory so I doubt he's been dipping into my supply of skooma either. I can't tell what causes it, if anything.

      I suggest cleaning your save. Unload Paxon, leave him in another cell, save. Exit the game, uncheck the mod, reload your previous save. Save again, exit the game again, re-enable the mod (again). Go recollect Paxon from Seyda Neen.

      If you're playing with OpenMW, it may be related to that. I suggest trying a nightly release of the executable if that's your use case.

    HI!

    I have never installed mods to morrowind, and I have no idea how to install this one. I already have the BloodMoon and Tribunal DLC added and running.

    Help me please!

      You should start using Morrowind Mod Organizer. It will do (almost) everything for you by itself. What platform are you playing on?

    Where can Paxon be summoned? Every location seemingly has the same "Paxon cannot be summoned to this location" message.

      Are you trying to summon him inside of a building? That's not doable.

      If it's occurring everywhere, it's probably some kind of weird glitch.  You should try cleaning your save according to the instructions in the readme.

      If it's happening on the latest Open MW release (0.49 at the time of this comment) it may be related to that and I would suggest trying to play with a nightly release instead.

    i love Paxon, i love him.

    thankyou for this cute mod.

    would it be possible to have a 'do not engage'/'run away' combat behaviour options, possibly via scripting increases to his flee value or similar? i really like having paxon around, but for the purposes of a semi-hardcore run, he is taunting most enemies and even without durable mode seems to be able to tank like a beast. i certainly wouldn't want him to die, but it felt a bit strange last gameplay session for a dunmer to be wailing on Paxon with greathammer. in my imagined fantasy, it would play out like 1 greathammer hit to Paxon SMASH oops he is down, because he's just a lil rat (ideally down as in fainted not dead lul....). i don't really  mind too much i can just leave Paxon at home for combat ventures but thought i would offer this feedback, thank

      First off, thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the mod.

      Having creature companions engage in flee behavior can periodically cause hard crashes, which is why Paxon is so fearless. I had included a knockdown mechanic in a testing version at one point... But Morrowind being Morrowind, the animations for the Pack Rat (and Rat) models cause any creatures using the model to slowly glitch-slide in one direction while the 'knockout' animation is playing.

      For people in your use situation, I always suggest Peaceful Pets by Danae
      
      This MWSE mod will keep Paxon from engaging in combat or being attacked by things in the game world. Use it with Durable Mode.

      If you're an OpenMW player, I can't really offer a suggestion beyond what you're already doing.

    I love this mod, I don't know how I've experienced Morrowind without it so far, Paxon is so good, I love him.

    This is a great mod. although would it be possible to do a version that does not cast spells? not really a fan of how he fires off spells like an AK-47 that cant figure out if it wants to be full auto or an RPG.

      That's an A.I thing.  If you don't want Paxon to cast spells, make sure he has no cast-on-use enchanted items or scrolls in his inventory, otherwise the companion will 'cast' spells using them.

      This is a quirk of the engine, and isn't really something I  am able to fix.

    Is there any way to get paxon to teleport to me? I tried using the acorn and an effect happens but he doesn't appear. this happened after I loaded the game, he was alive when I saved it so I don't think he somehow died

      Best thing to do: Go to a town and talk to a Guard using the 'My Pack Rat' topic. This will warp the companion to a nearby Tavern, the Guard will say which one. Go collect Paxon and continue your game.

      You can also try:

      Intervention spells, which will warp Paxon to you with the default mod settings
      Using the Propylon Network

      Failing those, try going back to whatever cell you left him in and try the acorn again.

    Been feeling lonely while travelling so I'm very happy with Paxon :] He's a perfect fluffy companion!! Thank you so much for this amazing mod!

    This is such a great mod - thank you for making it!! I have discovered a slight downside to using Paxon (not so slight if you are playing a stealth character); if I sneak while Paxon is with me there is no experience gain to my sneaking skill, in fact the sneaking icon does not even show up in the left corner of the screen. If I tell him to wait I can sneak to my heart's content - icon, experience, and everything! Kinda strange to have a companion that doesn't sneak with you - has anyone else experienced this?

      What? Paxon is super sneaky! Little guy has 125 stealth rating and is scripted to have script level invisibility when the player is sneaking.

      Also, I'm pretty sure you can't grind sneak off of companions that are actively following you. Plus the icon won't show up if anything in the cell is aware of you AFAIK. Which if a companion is in follow mode, they would be.
