This literally perfected my videogame. That ONE fucking error that made no logical sense to me.. is now gone. I am error free.... until I add another 3264348723649 mods this week. lol.
I relate deeply to this. I have been getting that error for years and always turned a blind eye to it since I've been sick and tired of trying to fix my 400 mods-long load order. Just found this fix and the serotonin is hitting me hard.
I have Morrowind GOTY edition and MGE XE and never had an issue generating Distant Lands. First time I'm worried I didn't get an error... Maybe the MCP (Morrowind Code Patch) solved it?

Off course I didn't get an error. I didn't have the mod to cause the error. Installed the Resplendent Rethan mod, ran MGE XE, got the error, installed this bug fix, ran MGE XE again and the error is gone. Splendid. Thank you
I have a very similar issue except it is that everything is white that isn't like, rocks or trees (excluding npcs and containers etc). So, ground textures.
