Looks like the mod is fairly outdated at this point. It overrides a bunch of changes that the recent TR releases have made to some of the books. I would recommend not using it with the latest TR release as long as it's not getting updated.
Arf, I was happy finding that a book rotate mod exist, now I am less happy… Would the original mod still works, and I would just not be able to rotate TR books ?
Please please PLEASE don't use Book or Weapon Rotate, they're beyond outdated. Try Perfect Placement instead, there's now a beta version for OpenMW users.
I'm still having trouble. My books are still ending up half-way through the shelf. Not every single book, but most of them. Is there something special I need to do for this patch? I've made sure this patch is at the end of my load order. I do have the book jacket mods, but I never experienced this kind of clipping before.
Book Rotate is that type of mod which you should read about before installing. "If you have only Tribunal, you would use Book Rotate.esm and Book Rotate - Tribunal.esp. If you have only Bloodmoon, you would use Book Rotate.esm and Book Rotate - Bloodmoon.esp. If you have both Tribunal and Bloodmoon, you would use Book Rotate.esm, Book Rotate - Tribunal.esp and Book Rotate - Bloodmoon.esp. If you do not have Tribunal or Bloodmoon then use Book Rotate - Morrowind v1.1.esp."
I know this response is 4 years late I still figure I'll put it here in case anyone makes the same mistake as me.
If you have Morrowind with all the DLC you would use Book Rotate.esm, Book Rotate - Tribunal.esp and Book Rotate - Bloodmoon.esp. If you only have one of the DLC then you use Book Rotate.esm plus the esp that goes with your DLC.
If you don't have any of the DLC then you use Book Rotate - Morrowind v1.1.esp.
The mistake I made was activating Morrowind v1.1.esp along with the rest of the ESPs (I have all the DLC) and it caused the placement to be off. Just deactivate the 1.1.esp and it should work fine.
I just made the mistake of updating to the latest Tamriel Rebuilt, which seems to have caused all books in my save with active Book Rotate scripts running to sink halfway into the surface, like this:

The only ones seemingly unaffected are the books which can be placed in the world spread open.
I found this mod, which claimed to fix that very issue--was ecstatic! But alas it did not do anything for me.
Anyone know what I can do? My precious bookshelves... I can't look anymore. : [
Edit: Weirdly, if I disable the Book Rotate - Morrowind 1.1.esp plugin the books do not fix themselves, however they place like normal when I pick them up and put them down again. Meaning I have to redo the entire library shelves myself...but a solution nevertheless? I don't understand why this is happening. If anyone has a better idea of what's going on and can offer me any advice I'd appreciate it!
It's cool, man. For anyone else wondering it should be compatible with any mod that changes book textures, (like book jackets) but mods that change the mesh might result in books having some clipping issues on shelves, but should still technically work.

Or does this file work for morrowind, tribunal and bloodmoon as well?
