Couldn't get this to work with an existing save, already level 61 on my mage toon so not making another haha, I tried your fix in the description and got the "its running promp" and nothing changed no magicka regen and no added magicka. I don't have any mods that are anything close to similar to this one except maybe magic diversity complete? I would really like to get this one working it looks like the best one for me out of the similar mods.

I think it's a big mistake on my part, based on quite a bit of testing. I assumed the mod would run the same in both the default Morrowind engine and OpenMW, so I only tested it with OpenMW. I was wrong. When loaded with the default engine, any other script-heavy mods seem to interfere with the scripts in this mod, sometimes keeping them from running at all. I'm not sure how to fix it, though, so the only thing I can offer is to try a different regen mod. Sorry.

Can not get this to work for some reason. I keep getting an Expression Error: Syntax followed by" xas_sc_manawell" and "xas_sc_regen" even when starting a new game. Also typed in the Console Command you provided but Magicka did not start regenerating. I do have two other SpeedandStaminaTweaks along with BetterFatigueUsage. Those are the only conflicts I could think would make sense. Also the Vow of Silence spell was added when I typed in the Console Command but the effect was replaced with the Detect Key effect.

Sorry for the complete silence for a year and a half. I forgot I ever uploaded this, to be honest. However, to address the questions, I've done some testing, and it appears this mod only works without issues while using the OpenMW engine (I'm updating the description to reflect this warning). The default Morrowind engine for some reason makes this mod's scripts take lower priority when loaded alongside other script-heavy mods (like the two you mentioned). The magicka regen technically is working (from what I can tell), but the script only runs every few seconds instead of several times per second like it's supposed to. With the already slow regen rates for level 1 characters (around 1 point every 5 to 10 seconds, depending on your starting stats), script overload makes that take five to twenty times longer. Unfortunately, there's no good fix for this. It's just an old engine, and it has limitations. It does work just fine in OpenMW, though.

As for the Detect Key effect on the Vow of Silence spell, that's actually supposed to happen. Morrowind doesn't have any spell effects just for scripted effects, so when using a scripted spell, you have to attach it to something else that the game will recognize. I chose Detect Key, since it's basically useless anyway. However, when you cast it, the script should detect the Detect Key effect and add the silence effect to your character that goes away when the Detect Key effect wears off. If that isn't happening, I'm not sure what would cause that. I've tested the mod in both engines with SpeedandStamina.ESP from renoaff33, SpeedandStaminaMB.ESP from Mister Burkes (at different times, obviously, but I'm not sure which one you were referring to), both alongside BetterFatigueUsage.ESP by Androl, but I couldn't reproduce the lack-of-Silence problem; it still worked for me.

I'd like to suggest a version that regens similar to this mod, which slows the more it reaches the "full" side of the meter: http://mw.modhistory.com/download-18-6332

Like most other regen mods, you probably can't get NPCs and creatures to regen magicka the same way due to engine limitations, right? If so, probably better to have them all regain a random amount per second -- perhaps 1-5, like creatures who have a Restore Health ability. That way you're on more of an even playing field.

This magicka regen in this mod is slower and more even than in the Natural Magicka Regeneration mod, but I appreciate the recommendation. I prefer the XAS style for the predictability, and because of the Vow of Silence, which gives a bit of roleplay value to magicka regeneration.

As for your question, no, it isn't really possible to make NPCs regen magicka in the same way (as far as I know), because you'd have to target each individual NPC and creature with the script, and that's basically impossible (the script load would cause CTDs like crazy). You could work around it in the way you suggested, but I feel it would be a little unnecessary; the reason for the PC's magicka regen is simply because of the fact that everyone else in the game only uses magicka during battles, which they only have with the PC (and therefore only once), while the PC pretty much never stops battling. I made this mod as a means of leveling a playing field that was already uneven.
