Since the models use vanilla textures, it is possible that they don't play nice with your particular set of modded textures. If you encounter a problem, please specify what model and which texture replacer you're using (or send me the .dds file), and maybe I might be able to fix it.
If you think I've missed something, or you think there's a way I could improve this mod, I'd be happy to hear your suggestions. A number of key models might seem a bit excessively detailed for such small objects, but these are usually keys that have only one or two instances in the game, and might be considered as unique objects/collectibles.
I think this might be a bit too much, but you think it could be possible to merge this mod with some of the new keys and extras from the mod: Key Overhaul? : https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43862
I really like your work! and would love to see it coupled with Overhaul, that other mod adds some of the keys from vanilla that have no use or place in the world and brings them back into the world and even adds new uses for them, it has not been updated since 2016 sadly.
Again, just a bit of a stretch, but well, I can always dream haha.
Endorsed! Love seeing more key related mods in morrowind!
My only issue so far is with the naming convention. It scatters all the keys in my inventory, Would it be possible to add "Key" or "Key to" at the beginnings so they all group up in the inventory?
Thanks for noticing. I uploaded version 1.3 with the fixed filename. I've also taken the time to optimize most of the meshes, theoretically improving FPS, but shouldn't be noticeable unless you've got a crazy amount of keys on display.
I have problems with this mod, the textures just looks bad (the textures looks like blured and low quality, even worst than vanilla), at leat dwemer key is okay it has the new model and better textures from your mod :), any solution? :/
But I'm getting missing icons for some of the keys! D:
I re-downloaded and re-installed just to make sure. I did everything manually, so I know the file directories are right. Basically everything short of loading it up in the CS. Has this happened with anyone before?
It should be compatible indeed. No changes are made in the actual game world. Only the key objects are changed. Besides, the keys added by Rebirth should benefit from this mod in a pluginless fashion. No bump maps or hacky scripts, etc. So OpenMW will work fine too.
Thanks. The files in the Extras folder>Legacy Assets use the original mod textures from 2003. I wouldn't advise on using them, because this whole mod is aimed at improving those original assets. I only included them for people who'd still prefer those old textures for some reason.

Looks like a good month for key mods. :)
I bet it'll look even better with Alaisiagae's animated glow map: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/37538
Can i use the textures in the Extras folder and are they an improvement to vanilla?
