Name: Consignment Chests Expanded
Version: 1.3
Date: 2018-01-16
Category: Miscellaneous
Recommended: Nexus Mod Manager
Author(s): qicksilver

Description
===========
Adds consignment chests to several traders in Vvardenfell that allows them to save over time in order to buy more expensive items from the player.

Location
========
Chests can be found in the shops of Malpenix Blonia in Ald-ruhn, Verick Gemain in Caldera, Clagius Clanler in Balmora, Jeanne in Vivec Foreign Quarter, next to Ancola in Sadrith Mora, and Catio Sosia in Mournhold Armory.

Details
=======
Items can be placed in the consignment chests, at which point the particular trader will begin to save the required gold to buy the item. For each full day that the player does not visit the trader, the trader will save their daily supply of gold. Once the trader is able to afford the item in the chest, the item will be removed and replaced with the gold. The price offered is based on the player's Mercantile skill, and is generally a bit lower than if you bartered directly.

Note: Visiting the the cell in which the trader resides during any 24-hour period will prevent the trader from saving that day's allowance, even if the player doesn't speak to or barter with the trader. For instance, in order for Clagius Clanler (daily gold: 800) to buy an Adamantium Mace (value: 1000) deposited on Last Seed 20, the player would need to return on Last Seed 23 (two full days without visiting Clagius).

Requirements
============
1. Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal
2. MWSE. This was made using version 0.9.5-alpha.20171114 which can be found here: https://github.com/Merzasphor/MWSE/releases, though earlier versions may work.

Install
=======
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Morrowind\Data Files\
4. Start MWSE, open the Morrowind Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file.

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Morrowind Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete Consignment_Chests_Expanded.esp

Should be compatible with all mods, unless they change the shops in which the affected traders reside, in which case the chests might now show up in the right spot or might collide with other objects.

Known Issues
============
Because the consignment chests are owned by the traders, items placed in the chests will immediately show in the traders' barter menus as being for sale. If the player buys the item, it will naturally be removed from the chest, and the player will not be paid for it. Don't accidentally buy your own items!

History
=======
1.4 2018/01/24 - Fixed bug where amountSaved would overflow and cause unexpected behavior

1.3 2018/01/16 - Added chest to Catia Sosia in Mournhold Armory.

1.2 2017/12/17 - Fixed bug where game would crash if owner's id was reset between cell loads.

1.1 2017/12/06 - Trader's saved gold now resets whenever the last item in the chest is bought. This prevents a possible exploit where the player places a low value item in the chest and leaves it for an extended amount of time, after which the trader will have a very large pool of money with which to instantly buy additional items.

Items sold through the consignment chests are now added to the trader's inventory. This prevents possible game-breaking states in which the player sells a necessary item through the chest, at which point the item would previously have been removed from the game entirely.

Fixed small error in the readme.

1.0 2017/12/05 - Initial release

This mod is of course based on the excellent Consignment Chests mod by Rex Little, which can be found here: http://mw.modhistory.com/download-44-10675. Coincidentally, Rex was the first person to recommend Morrowind to me and my siblings, which ended up being my introduction to The Elder Scrolls series, modding, and basic programming. Cheers. =)

Thanks of course to GhanBuriGhan and everyone else who contributed to Morrowind Scripting for Dummies, to the helpful members of the Morrowind and ModdingMorrowind subreddits, and of course Bethesda for creating a game we're all still playing over a decade and a half later.

oh and LHammonds is okay I guess
