That would be amazing, especially since we got "Let There Be Darkness - Lua Lighting Overhaul" where we can basically tweak to our hearts content for MWSE. Sadly, your mod does not work, tried both ESP's to no avail. Would love to see them restored!
Have always loved this mod, but as someone else said, it does not work well in a heavily modded game. Had to remove it, which sucks, because those dumb little moths flapping around lanterns really did add a little something to the game that gives it more life.
A wonderful mod that's both subtle and yet very influential in terms of its effect on the atmosphere. The fact it doesn't work on OpenMW is one of the major reasons I am hesitant to switch from vanilla - is it at all possible to adapt it, or there are some engine limitations that make it too difficult? Sorry if this was asked already, just really curious.
Edit: figured out the issue. I was able to make it partially work (there are still two static moths, while others are flying around) by changing keyframe values from 42 to 8, as described here: https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/modelling-resources - previously, they were clamped rather than cycled.
Will upload the changed file if I manage to finalize it.
Edit 2: resolved it by changing all 8's to 12's. Works perfectly on OpenMW. Now gotta figure out why the hell don't fireflies from the firefly mod shine properly.
What version of OpenMW are you using? It used to be that bugs from this mod (and from Bitter Coast Sounds) would just hover without moving, but it now works as intended with the latest nightlies. (Last I checked, the lightning bugs still didn’t work right.)
I love the mod, but it murders FPS in my heavily modded game so I had to remove it unfortunately :( It'd be awesome if you found a way sometime in the future to reduce performance impact on it
Same here - narrowed a mysterious FPS drop of around 10 - 12 FPS outdoors to this mod. (Even during the daytime.) Absolutely love the mod though, and I hope the optimization is continuing!
Nice effect, only thing is that it conflicts with every mod adding scripits to the lamps, making those scripts not working at all (like the ones from Midnight Oil, you cannot turn off these lights only pick it up like in vanilla). Endorsed anyway
Good mod that adds immersion. Personaly I had only very little to no noticable FPS hits. My main hit by far comes from increased view distance of MGE XE.
