Issue with bound shield causing a Skill Decrease of 10 Block when the spell expires still happens with Morrowind Code Patch installed. I think it has to do with how this mod uses the base value to calculate the boosted value then drop it back down to the base value, ignoring any Fortify effects, so once the shield is gone your Block is now 10 points lower than normal.
Just used this mod. Works in vanilla Morrowind. In fact, works really well. Makes combat more engaging (like Skyrim). I have the right mouse button attack, left mouse block, and wheel button draw/sheath my sword. Very nice mod.
FUN FACT: Being a twat and perpetually holding up your shield will wear it down rapidly and thus break it. Balance in combat, attacking and then blocking an incoming attack, slows down the degradation.
Is there a penalty for keeping the Sneak/Block key held indefinitely, and if you attack while blocking? Ideally, I would like to see Block chance drain the longer you hold the Sneak key, double your chance of missing with a weapon and increase it from there, and have a successful block or parry damage Fatigue with the latter damaging your weapon.
Good job, but I have one gripe. The chance to parry with a weapon should be determined by your skill with that weapon type.
In reality, people who train with swords (for example) practice parrying as much as they practice striking and both are integral to the technique of the weapon. Blocking with a shield requires significantly different maneuvers than redirecting an enemy's swing with a haft or blade (it's not really blocking at all.)

Now all we need is a new sneak animation!
