Love your mods, your armor is always one of my first installs when starting fresh.
I also have the "phantom boat" issue when using RR Mod Series - Better Ships and Boats. Similarly, while I can appreciate Haemas not wanting to sail in bad weather, in 2024 Dagon Fel isn't really the northern-most point anymore and it's a little silly having her being the only stubborn ship master in the entire game. Her location similarly isn't intuitive for most players who are used to looking around where the actual boats are.
These issues are easily remedied by someone in the CS, but perhaps an update and/or patches would be appropriate. Another idea might be changing her house into more of an office with an anchor sign or something similar so players know where to go.
I write all of this because this is otherwise my favorite version of Dagon Fel on the site but I feel like new players may turn away before giving it the chance is definitely deserves. On that note for anyone else reading, definitely give this a look. The upgrade makes Dagon Fel worth visiting instead of looking like another generic imperial town with features you can find in more convenient locations.
Thank you so much for the long-term commitment to Morrowind over all these years. :)
Is there a way to totally remove the rain effects? I am using a bunch of mods and the rain does not even fit the mushrooms now. I also get flickering on the buildings during the rain and especially the statue like another poster mentioned. I really like the concept but the clipping just bothers me too much. I don't mind unpacking the BSA and removing the water effects if that is necessary.
Also, no matter what I do with my load order I get a duplicate ship in the harbor that is in the original space at the diagonal angle. I do have a TON of mods but no matter what I do I cant get rid of it. Fortunately it is easily disabled by the console.
Also, I cant find the person to travel by boat with this mod installed.
There also seems to be a conflict with: RR Mod Series - Better Ships and Boats: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44001?tab=files
It works BEST if I load it after Better Ships and Boats but I do get a phantom boat I have to disable with the console.
Archive have a one version of ESP file without rain effect on mushrooms. Will look if I catch a time to make version without any effect and with fix to flickering. You can find the the Ship's captain into one of location there. But she don't want to traveling the boat at bad weather.
This is a really awesome mod. But the ship thats supposed to be Docked in Dagon fel is missing for me The door and robes as well as the plank leading on deck are still there tho
Nevermind I forgot to install alll the meshes from RR Mod series Better Ships and Boats. It caused all of the big ships to disappear
Well, it appears that this mod does not work in OpenMW.
Problem 1: OpenMW cannot read files whose names start with "@".
Problem 2: After renaming the BSA and ESP files, I got them to load, but when I went to Dagon Fel I was met with a really loud, long tone and then I saw several large yellow blocks with ! in them. It appears that either some models didn't load or they're missing.
>OpenMW cannot read files whose names start with "@". As can I remem it, version 0.41 can did it. But not sure. Anyway, try to report about this issue on OpMw bugtracker.
>After renaming the BSA and ESP files... Textures and meshes too have "@" in IDE. -_- But, try to unpack the the BSA, maybe it's can solved this problem.
Awesome mod. It's a tight squeeze but Neoptolemus' Ships of the Imperial Navy just fits in: https://www.dropbox.com/s/93e3uwyqf7h4bvy/MGE%20Screenshot%20DagonFell%20Updated%20Ships%20of%20the%20Imperial%20Navy%20Optimized%20Omicron.jpg?dl=0
I just played around in the new Dagon Fel and I really liked the new style. The mushroom-capped homes looked really cozy and exotic in game and you did a great job on the new interiors for them in my opinion. I'd definitely like to see more city replacers like this with lots of new models (yes, I am aware of Dramatic Vivec and that is awesome too).
It seems like a couple of the models should have their collision looked at. The hanging fish nets should have simplified collision since I think the net is just using the triangles right now and I kept getting stuck on them. It also seemed like the new parasols had collision connected to the billboard meshes as I was getting stuck on those as well.
Dang. I just played with the mod some more and noticed some really neat things that I missed before. It's really cool that you actually animated the hanging fishing nets to look like they're blowing in a soft breeze! I love that sort of dynamic thing.
But the most interesting thing was your special effects on the buildings when it's raining! I have never seen anything like that in Morrowind. Incredibly creative and impressive stuff. Technically, it was very inspiring, though I think the effect could maybe be toned down in game a little. Less white for some textures and more gray/transparent. There seem to be some caspering / z-fighting issues with the non-rain-effect meshes beneath the rain-effect meshes so that they sometimes flicker (the dwemer statue seemed totally messed up). And then some of the UV animations don't loop perfectly. But as I said, overall, I was really impressed by this feature!
I am curious if those issues are only noticed by me due to other settings, or if you, HH, have a video exemplifying what the effect is meant to look like?
For anyone curious to see it, I think this image (http://i.imgur.com/1dz0LEW.png) portrays the rain effect meshes best; note the drips off the overhangs and parasols. And you can't see it in this static image, but some flat surfaces have running water on them during wet weather as well.
Long time ago i wanted to do something like this. How will look the Game if add there a little more uniqueness and some dynamic effects. This village was used as a Test-polygon. Beautiful place, unique plants, harsh Nords. Hands are "itched" to redesign it in the new style! I hope these stuff will be interesting when creating other plugins!
Sorry, now, no plans for redesign other locations. Although it would be very interesting!
Patch are added. Added CollisionRoot to some meshes. Thanks for report, i forgot to do it for that models!
About the "rain-drops". Yes, it is the main target of the plugin. It is impossible to show well from screenshots and I wanted to make a little surprise. Of course, i can make a small video, but would be better to see rain in the game.
>maybe be toned down in game a little... Specify to me IDE the models, or textures - I'll see what can do for it.
> z-fighting issues... strange, I don't see the effect flicker in my game. What the models was it shown?
>UV animations... It drops from the roofs? Yes, it's sad( This is animation of the other properties (not UV), it is difficult to make a loop.( Maybe later I'll try to back for this and try to fix it.
>have a video... Will i make a video, of the village in the rain?
Well it's a really impressive feature, and I am glad that you included it. I'll send you a quick video of what I experience with the rain meshes (I'll send you a PM to maintain the surprise for others).

[EDIT]just tried it in game The rain effects are really creative, and some new meshes are interesting, I liked especially the open-top tower for guards. I hope you make them all a resource like your previous work.
I too noticed some flickering / white problem with the rain animation, but the idea is really neat.
As a suggestion, If some rain-drop circles animation on small water pools could be done it would be a super resource

I hope, it fixed now
Well, the archive is updated.
Added various fixes and new models.
Added rain drops on the puddles surface.
See log.
If the weather is bad, She is there.

Thanks for sharing this neat mod with us, HH!
