Hello everyone! Tamriel Rebuilt is pleased to announce the release of build 23.10 "Andaram".

The villainous Camonna Tong rules the port town of Hlan Oek while its Hlaalu governor has his mind on other matters. The great Temple city of
Almas Thirr, first released in 2019’s Aanthirin release, has been expanded and updated and is now open to Imperial influence from the Fighters, Mages, and Thieves Guilds. Even the sleepy fishing village of Idathren has secrets to uncover. Meanwhile, the Dreugh Queen Paruddma broods in her Citadel deep beneath Lake Andaram’s placid waters.

Please check our website for a proper release announcement and changelogs. If you want to play this new release using an old save, make sure to update your save file with Wrye Mash.

Also, make sure that you have updated Tamriel_Data to v10.

The 5 Most Commonly Asked Questions about Tamriel Rebuilt.

Hello everyone. Here are answers for the most common concerns brought up on this page; for other questions, we highly suggest reading our FAQ, Readme, or Handbook.

    When will it be finished?
We're a volunteer project, and developers come and go. Thus it's impossible to project any sort of release dates, and whenever we used to, we'd always be wrong. If you want to monitor our exact progress, please visit our forums. If you want it done faster, join us! We're always looking for new devs. Even if you don't know a thing about the CS. We'll help you get started.

I get lots of missing meshes/textures!
Please register both of your BSA files in your Morrowind.ini. You can find more instructions in our installation guide.

I'm getting errors regarding... missing Map1.esm/Map2.esm, TR_Data.esm, etc!
TR stopped releasing individual map files called "Map1" or "Map2" since 2012. The issue here is that old mods based on TR still have a dependency on those old files. TR also no longer uses "TR_Data.esm" since version 1609 (September 2016 release), and intead now uses Tamriel_Data. You can look for up-to-date versions of those mods, or try using the patcher found in Tamriel_Data to update them yourself (TR_FilePatcher.jar), or use Wyre Mash to clean the dependencies, or send a message to the mod author (if they're still active) to update their plugins.
... "One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on"!
This warning is given if your version of Tamriel_Data was released later than the last version of TR you have downloaded. The warning can be avoided by updating TR files in Wrye Mash, and is otherwise harmless.

Will this work with MGSO/graphical replacers?
Yes, but our custom assets will not be affected. In the future higher-resolution assets may be found in the HD version of Tamriel_Data.
There will be issues with mods that change the shape of vanilla assets, such as Taddeus' rock replacer (included in the MGSO compilation). Since the rock shapes are slightly altered, this may cause placement errors or blocked doors in our areas. There is currently no up-to-date patch for this rock replacer that will avoid issues in TR.

Will this be compatible with Mod X?
Since TR does not currently alter vanilla Morrowind, our project should be compatible with most, if not all, mods that do not occupy the space we use. Please consult our Readme file for a list of landmasses that conflict with TR and need to be moved. Also note that vanilla compatibility may decrease with additional plugins, as we eventually make changes to the vanilla questlines to integrate our landmass with that of the original game. These will be carefully thought out, and we hope to address the inevitable conflicts with mod authors themselves.

I'm curious, why were the Rathra and Faruna apparati removed? I found it quite interesting that there were Telvanni who excelled in alchemy, providing superior tools compared to others. If the concern is about maintaining balance, isn't it true that one could potentially exploit the game just as easily with any journeyman set in Vvardenfell (or the easy to obtain master's set in Caldera), rather than venturing far east to find a better set?

I've just been exploring Old Ebonheart and around it for about a week straight and I'm already blown away by the amount of content with amazing quests, namely the Markath portal to Oblivion and the Mage's Guild soulgem one. 11/10 mod, thanks for all the love and passion you guys put into this!

Quick question: Does the optional music file add music to the game and also leave the original Morrowind music in or does it completely replace the original game's music?

Completely replaces it. Copy the contents of the mod over to the Music file in Morrowind's Data directory if you want to play with both playlists (or vice versa if you're using a mod organizer)

      "Completely replaces it."

Wrong. It does not overwrite any of the original game's music. It is simply extra music you can add to the vanilla music.

Might be a stupid question, but: Are the official plugins, like "Siege at Firemoth" are actually required?
I didn't really like most of the official "mods", but this one seems to be one of the most impactful.

The only plugins required for Tamriel Rebuilt are Bloodmoon and Tribunal.

Funnily enough though, Tamriel Rebuilt plans to make its own version of Firemoth, building it in similar premise but with better quality. There will be a way to turn it off, for those who prefer to play Bethesda version/play without.

I will comment what I think about this crazy huge mod. I travelled there from Mournhold (which is almost endgame) and explored around a bit but have yet seen gear that was straight upgrade. Everyone seem pretty poor and uninteresting. The bright side is few fun quests.

So decided to not try explore everyplace there because it's pointless and go far away to see if it gets anything better and more interesting.
