in settings.cfg set (these should be good for most other groundcover mods too): [Groundcover] enabled = true density = 1.0 stomp mode = 2 stomp intensity = 1 rendering distance = 20480
The biggest performance impact will come from the rendering distance setting, here are some to try based on some scenarios
6144 (This is the default, groundcovers are rendered only a very short distance in front of you)
10240 (Half of my suggested value, should be pretty good for lower end machines)
30720 (This is the sweetspot if you use the exponential fog setting, any popping happens deep enough into the fog that you really have to look for it to see it)
40960 (groundcover will be rendered extremely far, it is perfect in combination with the exponential fog setting)
81920 (Same as max view distance, you should probably never set it this high)
This is and has always been my go-to when modding my game over the years. I just recently started gathering mods again for my new OpenMW playthrough and I instantly grabbed all of Vurt's tree and grass stuff. I read down below that you're burnt out on modding, so I doubt there's going to be a solution to my issue anytime soon or at all, but I figured I'd throw it out there in the event someone can help down the road.
I've decided to go through the game with BCoM this time, which is (of course) making a lot of my grass float or just be generally misplaced. Specifically in towns, like Balmora. I really don't like using the Lawnmower mod, because it removes almost all town grass, in like every town, within the city limits. I've always enjoyed your mod specifically, because it leaves some patches here and there. It's more realistic and artistic -- and just looks better!
Sorry for being long-winded, just wanted to see if you or anyone had or will have a BCoM compatible patch. I would try it myself, but literally every time I have opened the CS I have broken things beyond repair lol. Even if this post falls on deaf ears, thanks for the awesome tree and grass mods, Vurt! Your work has always been appreciated.
I might be one of the few guys still using this groundcover over the other choices, but Vurts has always been the way I looked at morrowind, from his mushrooms, to tress and grass mods.
Thank you for this! Came here just to see if there was any update and glad to see the corals still being worked on! ty :D
When I try to generate it in the distant land generator wizard and click continue, it says: "fatal error occurred loading land data from your plugins. Distant Land Setup cannot continue. System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: index was out of range. Must be a non-negative and less than the size of the collection." Any help?

- Do not enable the plugin files from your launcher, or at all.
- In openmw.cfg add (anywhere):
- in settings.cfg set (these should be good for most other groundcover mods too):

You could also just add it to the mod description, i don't mind.
