"Drop the "WorldChunkTool.exe" into "Monster Hunter World\chunk" folder, then drag "chunkG2.bin" onto it to extract the "chunkG2" folder. Copy all the wp_dat files from the ChunkG2\Common\Equip folder to "Monster Hunter World\nativePC\common\equip". Next, run Weapon Transmog Tool.exe and click "File" in the top left corner. Open the wp_dat file of the weapon type you want to change, for example, "bow.wp_dat_g". In the top left drop-down menu next to "ID:", scroll down until you find the name of the weapon you're using, whose appearance you want to change. Then, select either "unique model" or "model part 1&2" to choose the appearance of the weapon you want to replace your current weapon appearance with. Click "Save" to replace just that weapon or "Apply to all" to replace all weapons with that specific appearance. If the appearance you want isn't under "unique model", then use the "ID:" drop-down to find the name of the weapon and see which model parts 1&2 are set. Now, you know which parts make up the appearance of the weapon you want, which you need to choose instead of unique model. *Still Working 2024*
I'm not sure what you mean by 'nothing to extract,' but you should just be able to click and drag the 'chunkg2.bin' file onto the 'worldchunktool.exe' from https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/6. As long as you have the required 'oo2core_8_win64.dll' file in the same folder as the 'worldchunktool.exe,' and the chunk.bin files it should just extract the contents of the 'chunkg2.bin' to a folder called 'chunkg2'.
Doesn't work. If I extract the common>equip data from chunkG2 of my game, and paste it in nativePC the game doesn't load. It remains a black screen after CAPCOM logo. Why the hell is this so hard and there is not an updated guide
yeah, is a shitty way of guiding people on how to use it. After the whole afternoon, I found out there is no need to obtain wp_dat files from your own chunks. I mean, maybe it was, but I did it and none of the wp_dat files of any chunk worked completly (some like chunkG2 one work for only some weapons
SOLUTION: search for the wp_dat file of the weapon you want on GitHub (https://github.com/HalcyonAlcedo/MHW-Weaponeditor/find/master) and put it in your nativePc>common>equip
Remember, "wp_dat" or "wp_dat_g" depending on the weapon. To know which ID is from the weapon you want its the same as in the wp files, for example "one" for SNS or "tachi" for LS (you can find all here https://github.com/Ezekial711/MonsterHunterWorldModding/wiki/Weapon-IDs#sword-and-shield).
Hope the developer reads this and deletes all that useless outdated guides
where do i find a list of the weapon IDs? going through each and every one of them in that crappy drop-down menu to try and figure out what each number corresponds to is kind of ridiculous without having any way of knowing what any of them are lmao
for a more detailed list click on ''pages'' on top-right, and search for ''weapon id''. go to the latest results, those with the wording ''DUMP'' (divided into several parts by categories) you will also find the IDs for when you need to choose the ID of the weapon we want to use and change aesthetics, without having to search, id by id, which one is the name of our weapon ...
that github list seems to be slightly off though according to it lightbreak edge is supposed to be 214 but its actually 209 meanwhile 214 is hydra tornaria
or maybe the list accurate but weapon transmog tool is goofy who knows
