Please be aware that this is a work in progress. There have been reports that crashes can occur after 30 minutes to an hour of play due to the anti-tamper that is still present.

DLSS frame generation is a known cause of random crashes, unknown as to why at this time.

If you are using ANY overlays like the Discord overlay, Medal, Overwolf, Rivatuner/Afterburner, etc... Turn them off if you are crashing on startup.

If you are infinite loading after an update, you have a file-based/pak
based mod that is no longer compatible, this is not REFramework's fault.

If you are crashing then upload your re2_framework_log.txt, and your
reframework_crash.dmp to the GitHub's issues page. DO NOT POST IT HERE. SNIPPETS OF IT DO NOT HELP.

To uninstall REFramework temporarily, simply remove the dinput8.dll file from your game directory. To
completely remove it along with ALL mods, you will need to delete the
    reframework folder, re2_fw_config.txt, re2_framework_log.txt, and
reframework_crash.dmp as well (if it exists).

I am using "REF Nightly 01179."
However, the game crashes after I complete a few quests.
Is this caused by a bad mod, or is it a problem with Wiles?

I am using mods via "ModOrganizer."
Is it necessary to put the MODs directly into the Wiles folder for stability?
Any advice on how to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Got a weird problem with framework. Got the latest version of nightly REF for mhw. When I toggle on and off mods from Fluffy mod manager my game wont boot,if i try and run the game a second or third time my game wont boot but if i restart my pc it seems to fix the issue at the moment. Anyone have a possible idea of why thats happening? Again odd problem,If anyone has an idea, suggestion or knows a better place for this question im all ears

It won't start if you have a MOD that requires Loose File.

It will work if you revert to vanilla first and then install it.

Can partly confirm this works, had issues since update even when i clean installed the game (yes, i manually deleted all files from folder and downloaded mh wilds...again)

REF still works, even with enabled LooseFileLoader. Many mods still work, too. If you get the infinite loading screen, go to your game's folder, take out all mods from reframework/natives/MHWI folders, and re-add them one by one, restarting the game each time, to see if it still opens. I found that out of like 14 mods I use, only 1 doesn't work and breaks the game, while the rest still works perfectly fine.

If you're using Fluffy Mod Manager then idk, that mod manager never worked for me and crashed my game. My advice would be to get rid of it and install all mods manually.

I didn't have a single mod installed, the game was only able to start when i disabled loose file loader.

Then it must be some other weird interaction between the game and REF. I can use all mods that rely on Loose File Loader with 0 issues. Have you tried to completely remove REF from your game folder (dinput8.dll along with all other REF files and folders that it creates for itself), restarting the game to be completely vanilla, and then putting dinput8.dll back in? I did it once when I wanted to see if REF is the one crashing my game. I guess it allowed it to re-create all of its files again. And as said, I can use all mods except for 1, and most of them require Loose File Loader enabled.

I just use obsolete Mod detector to detect outdated mod but there gonna be some false positive. so i add back the deleted mod to reconfirm.

Yes i tried that too, i even uninstalled the game afterwards, made a 100% clean install without anything, put in reframework and game wouldn't go past the initial blackscreen anymore, as soon as i tried with loose file loader again

Done all the shader cache deactivation thing, Wilds still forced a shader cache compile and i still get the black screen when loose files
      are enabled.

Loose file loader option is not remaining checked after most recent update. I am using the Fluffy Mod Manager, not for Reframework because it doesn't work with it or I don't know how to make it work so I installed manually, and I actually had to uninstall all mods, completely remove Reframework from the game directory before uninstalling the whole game, then finally reinstalling to even get it to boot after the update. I think I have all my issues solved besides that one option not staying ticked when I launch the game, any help on this or is it a known issue that needs fixing?

In the game folder, find re2_fw_config.txt
Find LooseFileLoader and set as true (LooseFileLoader_Enabled=true), then save the file

Any update planned? I've disabled all mods but REF, only it causes severe frame rate spikes and instability.

verify game files and delete shader cache file in root mhw directory :)
