Hey I really like the mod, but it stopped working for me and I can't get it to work. Either REF freezes at initialization, or the game loads and I can see the plugin in the menu but the overlay doesn't appear even when i enable everything. Help?
Hello, I encountered an issue where I can't switch languages. In the settings, there's only "default" option, and no other languages to choose from. I installed this MOD using Vortex. I have already installed REFramework-D2D-134-1-0-1-1713141491 and REFramework-26-1-617-1707054287.1 using Vortex.
I just figured out how to solve this issue. You can't use Vortex to install the JSON files under "reframework\data\MHR Overlay\languages". You need to manually move the JSON files to the corresponding directory, while the rest of the files can still be installed using Vortex. This way, the problem should be resolved.
I just downloaded this mod to try out but seems not working for me and can't get why, the game insta crash at the initial screen with reframework is currently initializing, i have REframework, direct2d, rise tweaks and better matchaking all up to date but seems if i load this i can't go in the game some have clue for that?!
Send me your log file: \MonsterHunterRise\re2_framework_log.txt. It is unlikely that the mod is at fault. You are crashing before lua scripts are initialized. And even if they are, all lua scripts are sandboxed, this mod cant cause a crash. If it misbehaves, reframework will just show an error message and will resume the game without the script running.
the log is insanely long, i give it another try and still the game remain stucked perma at the initial logo screen with REFramework is initializing. I take all the mod file off and the game run smooth again :S
permanent loading at loading != insta crash, as you initially said. This is usually caused by .pak mods, but reframework can cause it too. You can try the nightly version: link.
i don't use any type of mods except the one i mentioned in the main comment, i tried just now the nightly reframework but i still get a stuck load screen image
It seems reframework is having hard time hooking DirectX 12.

no, it doesn't matter. I just meant that without Direct2D the mod can't display unicode, so with your game being italian it means that monster names will be displayed with "???".
I absolutely love this mod. As a hunting horn main that loves building to give my team ALL the buffs, it's become a must-have. With that said, a suggestion: I wish there was a buff tracker for Felvine usage, and maybe a cooldown timer as well, since its so long.
