- Changelogs
Main mod:
- Fixed the gauges to stay hidden if Supply Box is open
Nakama addon:
- Reworked the detection of menus and chest usage to properly hide the hud like in main mod
- Improved support for Servants and Palicos
- Palicos can now be discarded from the teammates list using REFramework menu
- Now prefers the G/Master rank over Hunter rank, but both can be displayed using REFramework menu
- Added Stun and Sleep status non-blinking indicators to afflected mates
Boss Bar addon:
- Rebuilt from the ground up. Its no longer a reskin of Monster Has HP addon. Now the gauge will stick with the targeted monster instead of just showing the closest monters health.
- Also included Kingdom Hearts III style, more refined. Style can be changed in the ReFramework submenu, newcomers will get KHIII by default.
- The old addon will stay available for download if you prefer to keep the closest monsters health constantly on screen.
Be sure to update KH images folders.
Sunbreak Support
ReFramework has been recently updated to support Sunbreak, don't forget to update it before starting the game.
Title Update 16 Support
So far, it seems that no one of the last updates broke the mod.
The project
My very first mod. It replaces some of the gauges and indicators with Kingdom Hearts variants while you're in quest or training to give a fresh/different experience. Basically, health, stamina, sharpness and 80% of the classes specific indicators have been redesigned with UI elements from KH games.
Bar replacement:
- Health (HP and Recover)
- Stamina
- Poison status
- Lanternbug
- Sharpness
- Moxie skill
Supported Classes:
- Sword and Shield
- Great Sword
- Long Sword
- Dual Blades
- Hammer
- Lance
- Gunlance
- Switch Axe
- Bow
- Charge Blade
- Light Bowgun
- Heavy Bowgun
Partial support:
- Hunting Horn
- Insect Glaive
Unfortunately, I'm not able to identify some of the variables used for insects and melodies, so you might want to display the legacy weapon info panel if you're playing one of the 2 last classes.
How to install
This mod relies on ReFramework and ReFramework Direct2D (with a customized version), so first install those ones by following their respective instructions.
Then unpack the archive and be sure to put everything in the right folder:
- put the DLL in MonsterHunterRise\reframework\plugins
- put the KH folders in MonsterHunterRise\reframework\images
- put the LUA file in MonsterHunterRise\reframework\autorun
- Install KH2_ALL_MENU_I.TTF font by double-clicking -> Install
Was it successful ? To verify, just go to the training area, then the bar should pop up.
If not, go to reframework menu [Script generated UI] => [Kingdom Hearts HUD] and use x/y axis to ensure the bar are not drawn offscreen.
Then hide the "duplicated" elements in the game Display settings and happy hunting!
Using the dedicated ReFramework menu, you can freely move the bar on the screen. Also, you can change the reticle for the bowgun class.
You can also scale the HUD and choose between 1K, 2K or 4K icon sets. Once saved, don't forget to hit "reset scripts" so fonts and icons will be reloaded accordingly.
If you're familiar with the Direct2D max update rate setting, you can put it at 15/20.
The Nakama Addon
When I started working on the main mod, it was imperative to turn teammates bars into KH ones. I was confused to not see teammates stats where they were supposed to be. It took some time, but its finally there. Note you won't only see player name, class and hps but also the rank, that shows the hunter's color. NPCs from Collab quests will also be listed.
Requires the main mod, you can use the dedicated ReFramework menu to move the bar wherever you want. Adjusting the scale is also possible (reset scripts after saving is required to take effect).
This addon does work with the Follow ME mod.
The HP 'Boss' Bar Addon
You probably noticed a famous HP bar on a screenshot. This is a fun addition for players who want to keep track of the fight's progression. Selecting a monster using R3 will show its remaining life. Red ticks will also represent the damages in a pretty accurate way.
First version of this mod was just a reskin of the very nice Monster Has HP Bar mod, so credit goes to its creator. Still available for download if you want to track the closest monsters health.
You will need the KH asset folder from the main mod if you just want to use this addon alone. You can use the ReFramework menu to move the bar wherever you want and choose a 2K or 4K variant (reset scripts after saving is required to take effect).
The status
It's not a V1 (but not so far), but it needs some polish (I'm not a good drawer '^^, so feel free to play with pngs). But its functional, I played hours with this mod without issue. I need to collect feedbacks and see what can be improved and how.
Credits
Big thanks to the MH Rise discord members for SDK infos, to ReFramework's contributors and to Cursey for leading the way to add on-screen content. Found an old KH font in the depths of the web, but no trace of the author..
