Welcome to Sanga's HD Metallic PBR Textures for Minecraft with RTX.

This set of high-definition textures was created from the ground up following Physically Based Material techniques. My goal is to take advantage of the RTX enhancements available in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Windows 10, in order to achieve a set of dynamic textures with added depth to their surface and structural details. Although raytracing allows for realistic interactions with light by calculating the reflection and refraction of rays in order to render accurate color blending, shadows and transparency effects: the objective of this set is not to achieve photorealism, but rather to provide interesting surfaces with details that are revealed or obscured under different lighting conditions and viewing angles, while still being recognizable as their real-world material counterparts. In the end it is all about empowering players and builders to create atmospheric environments to their hearts’ content.

In addition to this pack, I'm working on related projects for release of future sets including organic and non-metallic textures as well as translucent and emissive surfaces. In parallel I am documenting my workflow and lessons learned in short and focused resources for beginners. Meanwhile I am constantly experimenting with RTX, PBR and Minecraft, in search of new ways to introduce more detail and nuance by finely tuning texture values to Minecraft's RTX rendering pipeline.
