I have a huge building next to the runway. have your latest and msfs latest. everything set to ultra or high. don't know how to add image to this forum
Hi, Yes for some reason some people are seeing tall buildings around l35, its still a smaller number but still annoying for them. I don't see them eith or without my mod and they are not part of my scenery. They are autogen buildings the sim is adding there for some reason. Luckily I do know how to remove and add my own structures there so that the players dealing with this issue like you no longer see it. I will make a hotfix for this as soon as I have some time.
Great screenshot! it showed me that I broke the runway with v1.2 at the threshold textures. Anyway since I had to go into the project I made you a gift while I was there! hotfix v1.3
If I compare with your screenshot, I don't have the small brick wall all around the pumps:

Any idea why I don't have this small wall bricks ?
You next challenge is too add the (famous) Altitude Density Digital Sign at each holding point (+ the big white/red signs with the recommended departure). The last time, I went there, they were INOP. Always displayed 0. Cool ! it's a perfect opportunity in MSFS to simulate "INOP Altitude Density Digital indicator" ;)
I know exactly why it's not showing up. On my system I have all the custom assets of my other projects. That wall is one of those so I thought I could share assets between projects but that must not be so. I'll update v1.3 with the required files.
Thanks for your great Big Bear setting! I have noticed some tall buildings ... I didn't see it when I was there, a few years ago. Don't see them on Google Earth either ... you could remove them if you can. Big hug from Panama.
Hi TVBosch! Which buildings do you speak of exactly? Any buildings I did add were all from multiple reference sources. In real life also there are so many more tall pine trees that maybe block certain buildings the auto gen trees do not.
Hi TVBosch, Interesting, but those are not part of my scenery. If you look at my screenshots for the mod, you will see that those areas do not have those buildings. Are you sure your map data settings are correct? I know some people had their bing map data turned off with the last update, I would check that out.
... I already tried the Bing map data settings ... still the buildings there. I can live with that. Thank you for your attention and I continue to enjoy this magnificent Big Bear airport! Thank you so much!
Yea I didn't try to make it because I wouldn't be able to get it to work... also I noticed the small wall around the island didn't show up for you. I thought I could use them from my other project, but I guess they don't share files. I'll make a quick hotfix for that.
Hey thanks for the info! Wasn't aware there was an issue with the windsock. Ill look into it. If you have reference of the new Fuel area please share! that would be great, I could only find mid construction photos, so I stuck to the old placement. Anyway glad you can enjoy another great socal airport!
A friend of mine, when watching this short video I've made, was surprise by the Crane (see around 2min45). It's part of your scenery isn't it ? But the size and distance to the runway seems to be quite anormal, right ?
You're right it is a bit much. Not sure exactly what the construction area is north of the airport but I guess they use smaller dirt movers more than giant cranes. I'll probably remove it in the next update.
I fixed the windsock direction, removed crane, and added all pine trees in surrounding mountains. No fuel island update yet, but as soon as I have the time I'll get to it.

PS : this comment section is not the most convenient way to exchange info, I loose my way in question and answer ;)

Two remarks (but the scenery is still great, don't misundertood) :
Thank you again !
Don't have much pics of the new fuel island. Here are some from my last flight with a friend of mine.
?
The Google Maps imagey is outdated (old position of the fuel, no new fuel island):
Hopefully, Microsoft Bing Map? is far more better:
