This is sick, but could you make a version where none of the combatives injure or kill enemies, but it takes 2-3 combos or throws to stun them? Either way, thanks for the awesome mod!
Great mod idea and work on this mod. Is there any risk of banning or cheat detection if this is mod is active during FOB infiltrations? I want to use mods that make the game better but I don’t want any problems with cheat detection. (And to be clear I also don’t want any unfair or extra advantage from mods for FOB.)
I do not think there would be a risk of cheating if you use this during FOB infiltrations, I haven't personally tested the mod on those events, since I rarely participate in those, however theoretically the mod would automatically be disabled once you start the an FOB mission, if I remember correctly, while using a mod similar to this, and it got disabled during my FOB infiltration, so it should be the same with this mod as well.
- Download the mod and extract it then rename the file "More Lethal CQC 1.2.mgsv" to "More Lethal CQC 1.2.rar" or "More Lethal CQC 1.2.zip", that way you can unpack it using winrar or winzip.
- After unpacking the mod, just keep opening the folders until you find the file "DamageParameterTables". Open it with any text editor like notepad, so you can read it and edit.
- Now, for editing, you'll have to find out the logic behind the code, which I must admit I don't understand very well, just enough to edit to what I wanted. Just keep in mind that each line is for one type of attack / weapon and the last 3 numbers of each line are probably the most important ones for each line, as they determine the damage, the "sleep/stun" and the penetration/impact of the damage.
- After finishing to edit the file, open makebite (it's in the same folder as snakebite) and on the elipsis on the superior right side select the folder where you edited the "damageparametertables" file and click "build mod" - IMPORTANT: you must select the folder that contains the folder called "assets". You must keep the folder structure from when you unpacked the mod, it will be: [FOLDER WHERE YOU EXTRACTED THE MOD TO - select this one on makebite] / Assets / tpp / level_asset / damage / ParameterTables / THE FILE.
- After building the file, just install it like you would install any other mod with snakebite.
Sorry if the explanation was bad, you can ask me about any doubts.
Hello, would there be an option that allows users to individually configure the settings? I like having to hold up enemies once I CQC them to the ground but I don't like how easy it is to injure them.
I unfortunately do not have the skills for that sort of thing. There is always using the arm sweep to knock your opponents down with the first 2 versions of this mod.
Very diverse mod, though I have to ask, is it possible to use joined cqc moves like from survive in this game on regular enemies or lol even on bosses?
also i do have a request...i do not have a problem with wall throws and 5 hit combo injuring someone since venom throws them around like a doll but....if you have enough time and if you do not mind...could you make a version where leg sweep does not injure ? to make it more consistent with arm sweep imo
That mechanic was intentional, to add more versatility with both sweep attacks, where the arm sweep would just get down to the ground faster to hold them up faster while crawling, and the leg sweeps to injure in scenarios where you're too late to counter. If both the moves cause injury, then the versatility while taking down an enemy on the ground will no longer be present.
However, I do plan to make another version of this CQC mod, it will be slightly deadlier compared to the first 2 versions I've made however.
Anyhow, I did make a version where leg sweeps you no longer injure the enemy, it's in the optional files tab. I do apologize if I sounded rude in my last reply. You have a good day now.
