One suggestion for already great mod. I recommend adding (via ModOptions) ability to turn overhead icons on/off. Outline, glow and icons are not the best solution but they still serve a purpose. Some missions have friendly infantry. Mostly infiltration where visibility is limited. While there is no penalty or any other consequences for killing friendly infantry it still feels bad to eliminate everyone just in case. Because it impossible to distinguish friend from foe. BTW after latest mod update i cannot see missiles from infantry. Probably they fly too fast to be seen.
I tried to make the icons and outlines be options in ModOptions, but I was not able to do so, I may try again in the future. For the missiles I increased their tracer size and and decreased their speed so they should be visible now. I won't decrease their speed further as they would no longer match with the hitscan nature of the missiles.
Tried latest version with adjusted tracers. Still no visible missiles. I disabled all mods (except this one and base PGI infantry). Double checked grafics settings. Even recorded a video and played it frame by frame. There is a muzzle flash. Hit explosion. No flying missiles. Looks like problem is somewhere else. Not in speed or size. Tried to go back to version 1.1 and it works perfectly. Good thing i made a backup before updating to newer version. I will probably stay at that version from now on. Still thank you for trying to make this mod better. Your work transformed infantry from useless feature into real part of this game.
It's a shame the missiles aren't being visible to you. I don't know what might be causing it as I am not having any issues seeing them on my desktop or laptop running at 30fps and 60fps. I also checked with 2 other people who are not having any issues either.
I re-uploaded version 1.1 (before the tracer changes) as an optional version for you and anyone else that might have the same issue.
Thank you. Too many different hardware and software configurations. Too many combinations of installed mods. Some people have bugs where others use exactly same mods without any issues. It is a price for running modded game.
I managed to figure this out. I added this as an option on the Infantry No Expense mod. It updates on mission start, so you can just update it before the mission starts, or update it and then restart the mission.
