Just your friendly neighborhood BEAR here.

This Mod is updated weekly with new content, mechs, weapons and equipment. we have currently added the following:

Our goal is to eventually add EVERY SINGLE LORE VARIANT WE CAN FIND to this game. Yes, you read that right. No, I'm not kidding.

THIS MOD IS STILL VERY MUCH A WORK IN PROGRESS

Seriously. You do not have to play this if you're scared of a little bit of weirdness. No one will hold it against you. Except me. I will.

You can report any bugs you find on our Discord, in the bugs channel. Depending on how drunk we are you may even get your hands on a pre-release build with hilarious bugs. We haven't had any major crashing bugs or major playability issues, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Join our Discord if you wish to report them. It's very easy for us, keeps it all in one place.

Pirate Mech Clarification

The "Pirate Mechs" were all made in a single night of drinking and video games. A method was discovered where we could load one mech's skeleton on top of another and let the engine figure it out. As expected, most combinations we tried were unholy nightmares of which we are still trying to cleanse from our memories.

However some turned out OK, and some terrific. With a little weapon hardpoint customization we ended up with a plethora of frankenmechs.

In love with our new found abominations we named them and added them. Since these are essentially 2 in-game mechs literally smashed together, there is no way to further edit the models. Some have wonky toes, knees or other clipping issues. They were born that way and can not be fixed. We love our children all the same.

Just be thankful you never had to see the rejected creations. Be strong, Clarence. Be strong for mother.


FINAL THOUGHTS

We really do appreciate the support everyone has given us over these last few months, that's probably why I was finally let to write this out. I mean I BITCHED about this for months.. MONTHS... Jesus...

If in some weird way this mod offends you or hurts your feeling in any way, I would advise you to reflect inward, and seek therapy, as this is a video game mod, made by drunk people, for others to enjoy.


FAQ




Will YAML/Merchtech/Piratetech be compatible with the clan invasion mod?

Not at this time, We are looking into it, but no ETA. We do have our own Mechlab mod that is listed below
[EDIT] as of 4/7, this mod is YAML compatible. there will be bugs, calm the hell down, be patient. We are working on them.


When do clan mechs start appearing?

December 3049

When do clan tech items appear?

Some start leaking in August 3049. By January 3051 almost all clean gear can be found, mostly in the hands of enemy mechs.

When does the good stuff start?

Pirate class weapons are periodically released every few years. Some are available from 3015. In the 10 years before the Clan invasion (P) gear sold as cheap Clan knock-offs start flooding the markets. Various IS, Clan and Pirate gear becomes available all the way through to 3122

Where can I buy Clan mechs?

You can't. A Clan would never willingly sell a mech to some IS mercenary company. They can only be "won" by destroying them and salvage. If you see a Clan mech on the market please report it in bug-reports.

Where are the Clan missions

There are no specific Clan missions in the beta. Clan mechs can spawn in any mission with difficulty 80+ targeting the Independents or the FRR. Many IS great houses begin to use salvaged Clan gear after 3051 but no Clan mechs.

Why is some stuff so OP and some stuff absolute garbage?

We went with pure lore values for weapons and equipment but took some liberties in areas that don't translate to an FPS game well. There is plenty of balance work ahead but even then some weapons will always be extremely strong and others extremely useless. This are included anyway so that anyone can set their own difficulty limits and play the way the want. If something seems to OP it's your call if you want to use it or not. Likewise it's your call if you want to go super-hard mode and use only IS equipment. Watch a Clanner rage as you run around in a Kodiak with all vanilla MW5 gear

When are updates?

We're aiming for Nexus public updates every Friday. We're not pro's, just a bunch of dudes who want to commit war crimes in the 31st century. Our schedules sometimes don't match up, we get tired or most likely; something we want to work really badly isn't working and we go into full obsession mode for 2 weeks and work on nothing else. Keep an eye on Nexus and the Announcements channel. Someone will post every time a new build goes up.

What's next?

Honestly? No idea. We've got so many plans and tons of features that are either half-finished or barely started. We're doing this for fun with no expectations other than lots of explosions, have lots of things to explode and have lots of ways to make things explode. We get sidetracked easily and spend way too much time trying to perfect one little thing instead of shelving it and moving on. I can assure you that a lot of things are in the works and our Alpha team loves to post screenshots, videos and sometimes livestream whatever is next in line

Yeah. so? its supposed to look like crap, its a pirate mech. Get over it.
