I run this hull with as little cheating as possible, and it's great fun. First, max jumpjets. Second, three LB-10x cannons. Third, as many SSRM2 as you can fit in with a crowbar.
It clicks heads, unleashes Macross-grade missile attacks, and is generally a horrifying knife-fighter that can get into range embarrassingly fast. I have yet to find as swift and a reliable a head-remover as the LB-10x in this game! And 36 points of SRM damage that ALWAYS HITS, even if it's a little sandpapery, just fucks s#*! up brutally.
I'd like a version of this mod that integrates better with other mods, 'cause this machine is hella fun to drive!
Hey Boss, Firstly love the mod makes the game fun to just obliterate things but was wondering if there was anything planned to make it a solo unit? i really want to use it with yet another mech lab but the unit and the HP get screwy and the right torso loses all slots.
Would it be at all possible to add some images for the various variations you have and the names of the variants in the images as well, as it is rather confusing at the moment. i am looking for a variant more akin to your NSR-9J loadout with a large energy slot in the left torso above the large missile slot and 2xmedium balistic slots, 1 in the right torso and 1 in the left torso with a speed increase more akin to the anni mech you did. thank you
May I request a variant with 6 missile slots in the left torso, no missile slots in the right torso and head, the three ballistic hardpoints, and 4 laser slots per arm?
Also is it possible to increase the physical size of the mech to be one and a half times normal size?
That's how the devs have it in game. For the unmodded version of the MAD-4A and MAD-5A, the weapon at the top center of the mech is always a RT weapon and not a CT weapon.
I could change that, but it's alot of work for functionally the same purpose. So why fix something that's not broken? :)
It's not a lot of work, and i know devs make it so... it's just it doesn't make any sense and it's actually unbalanced at all. Devs do many things that does not make any sense, thats why we ...modders... exist. TY for mod, i might do this switch myself...it's just hurt my eyes and brain to have top center chassis weapon to be in right torso =P ...it's like a bug.
EDIT: HA! found the reason why Large Balistic is in RT ...had this in front of my eyes - in one of loading screens you can see Maruder MKI with cannon on its Right torso, so maybe it's remnant from this version/variant and devs didin't bother to change that. Either way it's obvious sense and lore and logic wise this hardpoint should be in center chassis - just saying. Best Regards.
@ScarabParamit Lore wise the Marauder and Marauder II's big gun has always been in the right torso, even back in the 80's when the Marauder was using the "Unseen" Zentradi Officer's Pod art from Robotech/Macross. The visual design may have been tweaked over the decades so Harmony Gold couldn't copyright troll, (which led to the current Marauder I design) but the AC5/Gauss/LL/whatever has always been mounted in the RT and never CT and the devs stayed true to that, most likely because of all the old time grognards (like my self) would f***ing riot if they mucked about with the perfection that is the MAD on such a basic level; that and it is literally game breaking by tabletop standards I.E. you can't physically fit anything bigger than a LL in the CT without some dark age era tech, and hardpoints aren't a thing.
It's in the right torso because the mechs are based off of the tabletop game where the Marauders top ballistic slot is in the right torso. It's a carryover from the old days.

the MASC Gyros in this mod is great, fast cooldown and minimal damage, and you can input it in normal slot (u don't need MASC slot)
