Interesting, can you confirm for me that if you disable the conflicting mod if it fixes the issue? That will help me narrow down what is causing this 🙏
So... I'm pretty sure updated BGO works if I disable Heads-up Display. However, it was hard for me to confirm definitively.
I run an ultrawide monitor (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) and Heads-up Display has a 'widescreen fix' mod option which pulls the left and right portions of the UI closer to the center so they are still in normal field of view. It also pushes the mini-map a bit to the left so you can see where you're going when the map is on. BOG over rides the mini map position in the Jan and Feb release and pulls the map back to the middle. When I disabled Heads-up Display it also removed the wide screen fix, and in mission select, I'm not able to select additional pilots, so I couldn't confirm giving orders worked, but the map was back in the middle, and mouse was functioning the same as it did with the BGO Jan release. I'm pretty confident saying there is a conflict with Heads-up Display even though BGO overrides it.
Hey, checking in to see if you had a chance to investigate the issue with Heads-up Display. Looks like a couple other users reported the same issue. I realize that I didn't implicitly confirm that the new version of BGO did work when I disabled Heads-up Display. Thanks, love the mod and still using the previous version with Heads-up Display.
Thanks for checking in! I'm still trying to debug it. My changes that I made to the mod were solely contained to that overwritten asset so I'm still poking around trying to figure out what changed that would've caused this 🙏
I see v1.5 just dropped. Checking in to see if the Heads-up Display issues have been resolved? Not a problem for me to continue using old version. TIA!
Hey Hesto, checking back again to see if you've had a chance to look into the conflict with Heads-up Display. The BGO January release works with Heads-up Display, but all subsequent updates don't (haven't tested today's release yet). TIA!
LOVE LOVE this mod. This should have been a default function in the game.
Everything works great but figured I'd let you know that some mouse state got corrupted in my last mission where the only way I could use the mouse to control my mech aim was to actually have the map UP. If I closed the map only WASD would work.
This is the first time this happened out of maybe 50 missions so I think its a very rare use case. Not sure if this is related to this mod or not but figured I'd pass it on.

I've seen a couple reports of this happening and took a whack at it in the 1.5 update, when you ran into this issue were you on the latest version? *I'm really hoping the answer is no otherwise I'll have to go back to the drawing board to figure out where this is coming from 🤣
I can confirm I had this issue, but only when I attempted to use Circular Minimap by Merlockx. I tried various load orders between the mods and the issue was reproduceable. Once I removed the mod, Battle Grid Orders was functioning again.
I have seen the same issue and initially thought it was a conflict with Circular Minimap, but then I had it happen once without Circular Minimap installed.
I am using a WIP version of vonHUD and this issue is consistently repeatable as soon as I open the battle grid if both that mod and BGO are installed. The game seems to get confused in the toggle between battle grid being open and closed, so you have full functionality (but terrible visibility) with the battle grid open, and no mech functionality with the battle grid closed.
I am only posting this because others observed the same issue. I didn't intend to post since I am using a WIP version of another mod (vonHUD).
the issue with mouse being stuck in map top left corner happened to me as well, loading mission save while playing with options. the mouse was frozen when i set battle grid time scale to 0 (aka pause) and then load a game. im not sure if setting time to zero caused the issue, but when i went back to mod settings and changed the time scale to different value, apllied the settings and returned back to game, i was able to move with the mouse in the map again, no restarts needed
i will tinker with the setting a bit more so if i find out that some destinctive value does this (or just the fact that you change anything during a mission), ill let you know. cheers :)
EDIT: it has definitely something to do with the time scale. with zero or anything close to it, it seems to froze the mouse unless you change it to bigger number. sometimes 0,1 is enough, sometimes not lol. really strange behavior
I don't know if this has been covered or not, but today my mouse got stuck in the minimap while it was minimized and I couldn't move my mech's torso around. When I maximized the minimap, I could move the mech's torso but the minimap is in the way. When I minimized the minimap again, the mouse cursor was again stuck inside it and I couldn't move the torso.

I combined this with Voice Attack, so now I just audibly tell my lance where to go, no matter where they are on the map.
