hello all, when you say extract file where do i extract it too and is this all after initially make my shep after the beginning cutscene thank you for the help in advance
Here's the instructions to install a headmorph. Added now to the description.
- Download the Trilogy Save Editor - Download and unpack the Headmorph (for example on your desktop so it's easy to find) - Open up the Trilogy Save Editor, Click Open and open the Save File you want to edit (don't forget to backup your original save!) (C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save) - Navigate to Head Morph - Click Import and select the downloaded and extracted headmorph. - Click Save and save it over your original Save of the same name, again don't forget to backup your original save first. - That's it.
Everything works perfectly, I just want to change the the lip style mainly, I tried going under the Trilogy Save Editor program, I have changed alot of settings around, no luck, which parameter do I use to change the lip style?
I don't know of any way to modify it through save editor. Not saying that it's not possible, but I'm not savvy enough to give you any meaningful tip.
Did you try a new playthrough with her? There must be the option to modify her in the game's character editor. Alternatively, you can find the character's face code in the trilogy save editor. Start a new playthrough, copy and paste the face code and then modify the lipstyle. Save the file, open the trilogy save editor with that character, make the other necessary changes and then export the headmorph.
see this is when the game annoys me game runs fine without this and instant crashs when you load the head morph, would be nice to have you creation code most of the other stuff can easily be put in the save editor considering you already have to use the save editor in the first place
Sounds like a mod conflict, if you have the same problem with another headmorph. I'd go for a clean install and add mods one by one to see which is the culprit.
Tedious but that's only way to find out. I hope you backed up your game in METweaks Mods.
Hi! Love this mod! Was wondering if you could explain how you got Cinematic Reshade to look the way it does in your screenshots. I installed it as I would any other reshade but it comes out looking...gray and washed out, nothing like in the screenshots.
Did you use any other ReShade Preset before that, and/or downloaded the recommended ReShade version? Your problem isn't uncommon and from my very limited experience, it could be a file or any left-over from a previous preset that you didn't delete that could cause a conflict. Or a graphic/lighting mod that doesn't play nice with this preset.
I installed the preset where the LE launcher .exe is, should be looking like:
I'm not too savvy in this matter tbh, if this doesn't work I'd suggest you ask directly the author of that preset. I'm sure (s)he would have better answers than me.
In any case, let me know if you could solve your problem.
Thanks for replying! Might have solved the reshade issue, few shader and texture paths were misaligned for some reason. Anyway thanks a lot for the help and again, love the headmorph!
First of all, thanks for your work and for sharing it. I wanted to know one thing since i am new to Mass Effect modding, is there any way to reduce the lips size with Save Editor, if yes wich sliders should i use ? Thanks in advance, and sorry for my English.
There are no sliders that I know of but many values can be changed in the Save Editor (Head morph> Offset Bones). I never touched them since I can't see the result directly.
The fastest (and safest) way would be:
- Open your save in the Save Editor and then navigate to General>Role Play (on the left) - Copy the identity code you find there (should be the fifth line). - Start a new game and paste the face code in the character creator. - Change whatever you want. - Save your new game. - Open now your new save in the Save Editor. - Navigate to Head Morph and export it. - Open now your old save and import the new head morph.
Now this head morph has a base game haircut. To give it the modded haircut there are two additional steps:
- Go to Head Morph>Raw>Hair Mesh and paste the following line: BIOG_HMF_HIR_MORE.Hair_Peggy7182.HMF_HIR_Peggy7182_MDL
- Go to Head Morph>Texture Parameters>Hair_DIFF>Value and paste the following line: BIOG_HMF_HIR_MORE.Hair_Peggy7182.HMF_HIR_Peggy7182_Diff
- Click Save (don't forget to backup your original save!) and you're good to go.
Hi there. I used this head morph in the second game it's beautiful! I am now about to start the third game but after I import the head morph the game crashes when it tries to load the save. It loads fine without the head morph. Any ideas?
Edit- I am desperate to use this head morph as she just is shepard in my eyes :'(
Hi there. Many thanks and I'm truly sorry for your issues.
Are you sure that the required mods were installed correctly, are you using any other face or hair mods that could conflict with those required? My guess would be the hair mod although if anything went wrong, your Shep would be just bald.
HI Jon! Thanks a lot. and very kind of you to post here I thought I'd give it a go for once. I'm sure your male Shep isn't half bad :) Hope you're doing fine?
Doing good thanks and I had trouble with the creator in this game. Hence why I admire what you were able to accomplish. The default male Shep is very sexy as is and since I played this game more like a movie I was fine with watching him through the game :)
I agree with you and personally had my fair share of troubles with the (very limited) creator. The sad thing is that even with the LE, the character I've created in the first game won't really export smoothly to the next one, in the sense where she won't look exactly how she did before. I also remember you creating quite the hot male characters in other games ;)
Male Sheploo is awesome and I remember my first ever playthrough with him before I moved to something more personal. You still playing Skyrim or Fallout 4? Kinda burned out and gave up on them years ago... Miss your presets though.
Aye still playing Skyrim LE and FO4, as well as the SIMS4 (my guilty pleasure). I mix all three up as my go to games when bored or want something comfortable. They are all games like an old pair of jeans or favorite shirt. Playing some new games (Wrath of the Righteous, C2077, and Encased) here and there and own MEL (played it once, all 3 back to back) when ME3 came out. It is the kind of game I tend to only play once since it isn't open world. Yet enough time has gone by, and some nice things with the legendary version, I will replay it at some point. I also have a new PC on order so when it comes in I will probably switch to Skyrim AE/SE as well.
Ha, Sims 4 is also my guilty pleasure. Still playing it and must have put about 400 hours in it, modded of course. By looking at the games you've listed, I recognize a man of culture and refined taste. I built a new PC with a 3080 last December just for CP 2077).
I know what you mean with open world games, but the trilogy ME is the only game I have to play every 1-2 years. Glad you still at it, I'll take a look at what you're posting.

Instant crash means that the hair and/or the complexion mod haven't been installed correctly or conflict with another of your mods.
You can find the creation code when you load my headmorph in the save editor. Punctuation and a bit of civility would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the headmorph though!

Anyways go to Head Morph>Raw>Hair Mesh and paste:
biog_hmf_hir_pro.Hair_PROCustomShort02.HMF_HIR_PROCustomShort02_MDL
Then go to Texture Parameters>Hair_DIFF>Value and paste:
BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Global.HAIR_Long_Diff
This should give your Shep a base game haircut and eliminate the problem if it's related to the modded haircut.
I've also uploaded an optional head morph for LE3 with a base game haircut.
I hope it helps.
Enjoy the game!
