I've tried to test this mod as thoroughly as possible, and have gotten other people to test it to try to spot and iron all bugs, but in the case that you find some bug, I ask you to please include the following information alongside your comment or bug report:
1. Please describe the bug: What happens? When does it happen? Does it happen with Femshep and Broshep, or only one of the two? 2. Post a link to your Mod Manager log. Open Mod Manager, go to "Help", select "Logs and Diagnostics" select "Upload to Log Viewer". 3. What version and option of the mod (normal/Vanilla vs) were you using when you encountered the bug? 4. What version and option of the LE3 Community Patch were you using? Normal or with the Framework included? If with the Framework, did you install this mod after the Framework? 5a. Did you use the Custom Clone Configurator Tool? If so, what version did you use, and what options did you use? 5b. Does the bug still happen over a fresh installation of the mod and without using the Custom Clone Configurator? 6. Does the bug still persist after reinstalling the LE3Patch and this mod?
I know it's quite a couple of things to add, but without this information, I won't be able to help, since we would have to go through a thousand back and forth comments to pinpoint the causes of the bug.
FAQ
Can I choose renegade scars? Yes. When installing the mod you can select what renegade scar level you want for the default clone to have. For clones using head morphs, you need to manually set them in the .ron files.
Can I choose a custom Shepard face for the clone? Yes. Download the Femshep v Broshep Custom Clone Configurator tool and choose the head morph you want to apply to the clone.
How do I get a head morph into a .ron file? 1. Download, launch and install the Trilogy Save Editor. 2. Open the save that has the head morph you want to use. 3. Go to the Head Morph tab, select Export, and save the .ron file.
How do I add scars to custom clones? You need to add the HED_Face_Alignment_Emis, HED_Face_Alignment_Norm, EYE_Diff texture parameters using the Face_EmisScars_0[1-5] textures, e.g. Face_EmisScars_03, and add the HED_Emis_Intensity scalar parameter with a value between 0 to 5 to the .ron file. For example, if you wanted to set EmisScars to level 3, you'd type Face_EmisScars_03.
My Shepard's beard is bugged/not appearing. Is there a fix? Yes, open the .ron file in the Trilogy Save Editor, look for HED_Addn, and rename it from HED_Addn to HED_Addon, then reapply with the Custom Clone Configurator. I'll upload, in the future, a fix to the tool so this step is not required. Thanks to Yamamotto for finding the solution.
Can you make a version that does not require the LE3 Community Patch? Sorry, but no. Handling compatibility between them and other mods is something I can't keep up with at the moment. If you haven't given the Comunity Patch a chance yet I encourage you to do so, it's a pure bugfix mod, and the few things that are subjective are optional.
You can find more questions regarding the FSvBSC3 tool in the FAQs of the tool itself.
Idk if I am being dumb here, but I'm running into some issues when trying to add renegade scars to a custom femshep. I tried applying a head without any extra parameters and also one with a different scar texture mod applied and both were installed with the configurator just fine so I know it's just the renegade scars that I'm having issues with.
When using these parameters: Key: HED_Face_Alignment_Emis Value: Face_EmisScars_05
Key: EYE_Diff Value: Eye_EmisScars_05 The configurator throws an out of range exception while applying. length < 0 at FSvBSCustomCloneUtility.Tools.MorphWriter.GetResource according to the stack trace
When using the full path (I found in the Texture Manager): Key: HED_Face_Alignment_Emis Value: BIOG_HMF_HED_Alignment.HMF_Face_EmisScars_05
Ok, found out what I got wrong. After opening up Legendary Explorer, I found out the full paths that you need. I would update the sticky to include this imo.
This is for FemShep textures: Key: HED_Face_Alignment_Emis Value: BIOG_HMF_HED_Alignment.Emissive.HMF_Face_EmisScars_0[2-5]
I haven't tested BroShep, but these are from what I gleamed in the texture explorer: Key: HED_Face_Alignment_Emis Value: BIOG_HMM_HED_Alignment.Emissive.Face_EmisScars_0[2-5]
First of all, I want to thank all those who waited patiently for the update to the mod, and apologize for the VERY long time it took me to get the mod fixed and updated. I've finished the code to automatically do the edits on all the files the mod uses, so now if the Community Patch gets updated, updating the mod should be a simple process, helping in getting the updates out quickly. Because the editing is automated now, finding bugs should be a bit simpler, as I don't have to go hunting the same conversation in like ten files or forgetting a small thing in another file.
If you find a bug make sure to report it, and I hope you enjoy the mod!
I think this might be incompatible with new version of EGM or Miranda Mod as since updating those Shepard Clone has reverted to being the same sex as Shepard.
So after research I've concluded that THREE major mods are INCOMPATIBLE with this mod unfortunately... - Project Variety - LE3 Diversification Project - Miranda Mod
To a lesser more specific extent, SOMETHING in the Expanded Galaxy Mod Squad Pack add on is also INCOMPATIBLE. It is a real shame as especially not having PV/DP is a deal breaker for most peoples' load orders... this mod sounds like an amazing time and we would love to see an update from the creator! If they are unwilling surely at some point someone will step up and take over! All the best from The Legacy of Mu team! <3
I've noticed whilst playing as BroShep that the FemShep clone is invisible during the Brooks scene when you get sealed into the archives. The clone is visible in all other scenes. I'm using the normal version of the mod, with the framework version of LE3 Community Patch. LE3 Community Patch was installed before FemShep vs BroShep. Not using a custom clone. I've restored a backup of ME3 and reinstalled all mods I use to see that this bug has persisted. I haven't had the chance to see if this bug exists with a BroShep clone whilst playing as FemShep, sorry.
Relevant installation order: LE3 Community Patch & Framework 1.7 FemShep vs BroShep LE 1.3.0 Citadel Epilogue Mod Full 1.0.1 (with FvB patch) Project Variety 0.6.2 (with FvB patch)
I made a comment in a bug thread but wanted to echo you're not alone in this. https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/logservice/logviewer?logid=fbc4868ec016bc32643f85e6bb2b274e I'm on: PV 0.6.1 (with FvB patch), Community patch 1.7 FemShep vs BroShep LE 1.3.0 EGM 0.93.0
I'll keep playing with it to see if it starts to work
Edit: After trial and error it appears to be related to my EGM mod. Disabling that appears to fix the cutscene.
Fun mod, but it didn't work for me. I chose Femshep v Broshep LE Vanilla vs 1.3.0 so I could have Broshep vs Broshep then I downloaded and ran Configurator and uploaded the head morph I made and it's just not working. The clone looks just like the default male shep except his hair. The only thing that seems to have transferred from my head morph was the hairstyle I chose which isn't a mod and from the game. I might not use this mod this time but I would still love to try and use it again in the future.
Could you send your log, please? And did you install the mod after other mods, or before? The patches apply automatically depending on what you have installed, so it's important to install it almost last
It's a log of the game generated by Mod Manager. It contains most of the information we need when trying to figure out the possible cause of the bugs. Check the GIF I just added to the pinned post.
Same issue. I followed the steps for installation, made sure I installed the correct version, exported the headmorph of my current femshep and applied it using the configurator tool.... tried this step multple times, No luck.
Here's my log: https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/logservice/logviewer?logid=05d57c14875131ad3725f2adc1fb131a
Sorry I didn't reply. I'll take a look and try to fix it when I get the chance. I can't promise when due to being extra busy irl (as you've probably noticed by the response to other comments about bugs), but I promise I'll go through it
Same for me, except with FemShep and not even the custom hair comes through.
Nevermind, I realized that I'd been through resintallation a few times and forgot to reapply the custom headmorph, then didn't get the game rebooted properly when I did. Once I got all that in order, it worked.
I'm done updating my Emily Wong and laying the foundation for automatically patching things, so now I'm gonna focus on automating things for this mod and fixing any present bugs. Please bear with me just a little bit more.
PLEASE post a solution because I only see one other guy posted on this forum that he's experienced an issue where it's skipping an entire dialogue cutscene when you first encounter the clone, and I don't know how to fix this ? Even reinstalling and tweaking around with the settings doesn't work, the scene just entirely skips, shooting the thing down on top of the two soldiers as your clone is invisible, nowhere to be seen, and your party appears on the top with them saying they need to chase "the other you" but there hasn't been a cutscene, bc whatever bug is occurring here with this mod is skipping the scene entirely-
