I just finished ME2 play with this mod installed, and I HAD SO MUCH FUN! Maybe it's just me, but this class modification makes my game play more dynamic. Thanks!
Hi, how do you change the abilities, etc, for the different classes? Is there a program that you use or is it something you can change in the LE3 coalesced file? I really appreciate all of the work that you put into this.
Awesome mod! Sooo needed for consistency! I was so mad when overload, a primary infiltrator ability in LE1, was missing from the next games! Only one small suggestion: switching the order of the skills in the list, so that things arent moved around.
EDIT: I have a small request. Can you make a version where the name of the class is calle N7 Infiltrator Instead of Seraph? :)
having an issue with the cloaking skill. when reaching horizon, cloaking suddenly has really crap length, (6 seconds at rank 3) any suggestions/help would be appreciated...
Edit: so as soon as i got back from horizon it goes back to the correct length, weird... it also stopped happening in missions after changing armors... i wonder if that armor i was wearing was somehow messing it up? it was a custom armor from another mod after all...
Hey, Hawk. I see you're having some success at altering a power's attributes. Just today I managed to make all four ranks of Throw and Charge in ME2 hit with much greater force and even got ranks 1-3 of Singularity to behave more like the OP ME1 variant, picking up a larger group, having a greater impact radius and duration. (though this required adding properties to an empty 302 Default) My issue arises in that evolved Singularity refuses, (both heavy and wide), to be modified even when I change the arrays that are already present. Any ideas?
Off the top of my head it's likely because some evolved stats are the results of functions. I've yet to figure out exactly how to rewrite and recompile functions. The LEX package tool seems to mention it's possible/supported in a terse notation somewhere. I haven't looked at that particular evolution though.
Also, ME3 LE/LE3 tends to ignore some stat changes, taking the values for an object instance from the Coalesced file. One can override such settings in the DLC but some settings are global (e.g., biotic powers) rather than specific to the player character. Care should be taking when you know change effects will cascade. I won't do changes that aren't specific to the PC, but you might decide differently.
Hopefully someone with a bit more technical know-how can check on it one day and until then I can make do with rank 3 being better than vanilla rank 4! It's curious though, that it is one of the only class specific powers that is shared between you and another squaddie... And yes when I upgrade it to 4, all my old ranks return to their vanilla (worthless) stats in a cascade failure. "I noticed a few upgrades... I hope you didn't get rid of anything really important."
And yeah, I remember doing tweaks in the coalesced editor to buff the intel packages in 3 to boost my overall power damage because I couldn't for the life of me edit powers just for Shepard when so many are shared between you and your team-mates.
In ME2 the rank 4 evolution may refer to an additional array (arrays?) with the big deal fourth rank value as well as the prior three. You have to change those three to match the values you've changed in the array(s) that initially sets the first three ranks, or they'll, as you note, get rolled back.
That was the mistake I thought I had made, but after triple checking I can determine that all my edits don't contradict each other. And I'm only changing the values that the game says are upgraded every rank just to be on the safe side. Well, except damage under the hood.
