Can you make this compatible with languages other than English? Due to the dialogue-heavy nature of this mod, it is only compatible with the English voice over. You should be able to set subtitles to whatever language you want, but some of this mod's custom dialogue will remain in English. Full subtitle translations have been added for Italian, German, and Russian. If you are interested in helping me create custom subtitles for other languages, send me a message!
KNOWN ISSUES The Multiple Romance mod for LE2 has reportedly been causing issues with my mod. If you are encountering an issue where you can't access the romance conversations with Miranda or Jack while using that mod, try disabling Multiple Romances.
If you are encountering any other issues with the mod, please open a bug report!
The difference between your two mods are fucking incredible. You have this HIGH quality mod that fixes a major problem in ME and THEN you make Miranda bi too (all you need now is to make Jacob bi, yes bad character but technically that was the original vision i believe. Not complaining) and then you have fucking among us
Hey I'm having a problem in Romancing Miranda! I've completed her loyalty mission but in the conversation afterwards the "it's nice to see you smile" prompt doesn't show up. This is from importing an le1 save with romancing Ashley. (not sure if it has any bearing but I told Kelly my relationship with Ashley was history).
I've gone into the trilogy editor and it says my romance with Miranda (up to this point) is 3 and the flirt box is not checked.
As long as you installed my mod correctly and you didn’t mess up her Loyalty mission, that option should appear. It’s also possible you could have another mod that is overwriting my mod’s files.
If you are using any other mods, what are they?
Also can you post a log from Mod Manager please? It’s pretty easy, just open Mod Manager, click the “Help” button, then click “Mod Manager Logs & Diagnostics.” Then select the most recent log and click the Upload button and send me the link. It should help me figure out what’s going on.
Full disclosure, I did some trouble shooting after it didn't work the first time, which included re-installing and re-applying the mod. And adjusting paramaters in the trilogy save editor, I changed Miranda's romance level from 3 to 5. and also checked the flirt box where it was not checked before.
No change in the conversation but if I spoke to Miranda about Oriana I could keep having that same conversation. I have an old save I can fall back on thankfully. Thanks!
I would advise against that, the romance number tracks your actual romance progress with her. If you set it to 5, it’ll skip all of her past romance conversations because it will think you already did them. 3 is the correct number for where you are at. Once you have the actual conversations with her about the romance, it should increase automatically.
Looking at your log, I’m going to guess the problem is probably related to a mod conflict. It sounds like the problem is another mod is overwriting my mod, and so you aren’t getting the option to flirt with her. It looks like all the required mod patches are installed, but it’s hard to tell.
Try this. Go into Mod Manager and click the “Manage Target” button. This will show all of your installed mods for ME2. It will also give you the option to Disable mods. Try disabling (not deleting) all the mods except for mine, and launch your original save. Try the conversation and see if it works. If it does, that means another mod was causing the problem. Go back to Mod Manager and enable each mod one-by-one, and relaunch the game to make sure it’s still working. If you enable a mod and suddenly it stops letting you flirt with Miranda, you’ve found your culprit. Then it’s just a matter of figuring out why that mod is causing the issue, but most often it’s an installation issue. Hope this helps!
I'm posting this here and not in the Bug Report because it's not actually an issue of this mod but a bug in patching it by PolyROM.
There is a plot check in BioD_CitHub_Miranda_LOC_INT (1816 - LE3.Global.Henchmen.Miranda.Is_romantic), which defines the conversation resolution. While in the current mod it is set by quite a lot conditions (similar to vanilla BroShep), in the non-patched PolyROM .cnd there are only three left:
– a boolean 21751 - ME3.Global.Henchmen.Miranda.Romance_Rejected;
– another boolean 17662 - SFX.CH2_Noveria.METR_Additional_Autosaves.Autosave_LeavingPortHanshan.Save_In_Progress (???);
– and an integer 266 - ME3.ME2_Plots_for_ME3.Global.Henchmen.Vixen.Relationship.
In the PolyROM MGR patch the condition 17662 is not present. Probably, the patch doesn't take precedence over the non-patched .cnd and More Gay Romances looses its effect.
With a modified original PolyROM .cnd, in which the 1816 plot check is set by only 21751 and 266 conditions, More Gay Romances works as expected. I've never checked if same issue exist for Jack.
As far as I'm not quite a mod creator I'm afraid to be so bold to suggest improvements, but I consider that this information might come of use.
So, I've never personally used the poly mod and I don't really plan to look into it with great detail since I'm essentially retired from modding, but I'll reply cause you've looked into this in detail. Everything you stated is correct, except for boolean 17662. This is actually the boolean that how Sheperd's gender is perceived in game. If set to true, the game will interpret Sheperd as male, and vice versa if false. You can verify this by checking conditional 11 in the base ME3 conditional file. In my mod, I strip the boolean check of 17662 from condition 1816. The result is that Sheperd, regardless of gender, can proceed with romancing Miranda. It appears the the poly mod creator did not replicate this change in their PolyROM.cnd and as a result, it overwrites my mod just as you suspected. The in-game result is FemShep's romance with Miranda being broken. So congrats, you solved it yourself! As for fixing this on a wider scale, it would require the poly mod creator making the change you did in their patched conditional file for More Gay Romances. I can't do much because their mod has a higher mount, and if I were to try and raise my mount above their it would break quite a lot of patches with other mods. So it's unfortunately in the hands of that mod creator. Alternatively, mod users can replicate your change themselves if they'd like to try.
Fun fact, what you just did was actually the very first discovery and edit I ever made as a mod creator. This discovery of being able to manipulate the conditionals to no longer check Sheperd's gender is what led to me creating this mod! So that's pretty cool. <3
I installed the mod but Miranda is still saying there's a lot to do when I ask her to talk. Are you not able to install this after the loyalty mission or not on a clean save in order for it to work?
Both are already covered by mods listed in the description of this one, unless you mean for ME3LE, in which case, Mentlegen3218 (author of this mod) has stated that they're retired from modding.
I assume I'm missing something super obvious here, but where do I get the patches? I didn't see them in the downloads for this mod (unless they're the invisible archived files?) or the other mods in the list that I already use, nor were there any links in any of the mods' description pages that I saw.
I have a question would you be able to pick up on the same-sex romance on me3? Idk if you have people asking but I was just wondering, if you do you'll be a godsend, if you don't I fully understand.
You're a hero and a godsend! THANK YOU for giving us what these Bioware cowards should have given us all along. Nothing in the galaxy will ever divorce me from the headcanon that Jack and Miranda are meant to be bisexual or even, dare I say it, lesbian.
And now I get buried under a pile of angry boy discourse, because god forbid that women experience attraction that excludes men!
I climb out from the avalanche, undeterred, to yell that this is one of my favorite mods on the citadel. My gay ass won't be kept down, and now, thanks to you, neither will Jack or Miranda's. <3

Now Miranda has started flirting with me again and my conversation in save file editor has progressed from 3 to 4.

It doesn't look like rondeeno is going to do LE3 and I really don't have it in me to play Male Shep.
