Since I'm tired of 2 years of people commenting whether this mod makes sense or not; I will simply leave it here timestamped. The footage is from OT, but the dialogue is THE SAME in the Legendary Edition. They are identical twins. They are literally CLONES. This is explained by Miranda several times.
Moreover, I am locking the comments. I am tired of 2 years of people arguing over this. However, I want to tell you something, next time you feel the need to correct people, a) check your sources and b) think twice about leaving your unneeded and unwelcomed comment on a VOLUNTARY to download mod you clearly do not care about. I welcome all kinds of constructive criticism, but this is not. This is you coming with your higher superiority to tell me how my mod is wrong. Spoiler alert, I do not care about your opinion, but I will die on the hill that the game dialogue explicitly says they are IDENTICAL.
TLDR: If you don't like the mod, DO NOT download it, move on. No one is forcing you to use it.
Cant remember if she was suppose to be an identical twin or not. Seems like something the community patch or whatever the mod is called should have made adjustments to.
According to Miranda, she and Oriana share the same DNA (genetically speaking) but they have different birth dates. So that means, Oriana is actually NOT Miranda's twin. If they weren't born at the same time and date, then Oriana is a clone ( just not 100%).
@amirchem I've stated this before somewhere, maybe on another website. In the original Mass Effect, Miranda stated that she got work done so her father couldn't find her. So, unless that line was remove, by making them look like twins, it's actually lore breaking. So while it may be that they are clones, what Miranda originally looked like was closer to Oriana. Sorry if this comes off in rude and/or condescending way. That's not my intention.
Sure, it may have been a lazy thing on the dev's end that caused this. But as far as I remember, which I recall being stated in the game, the reason why Oriana and Miranda don't look the same is because Miranda had work done so she wouldn't be found by her father.
This looks great! The end of Miranda's loyalty mission, if you go the Paragon route, is the thing that really made me love her. Putting that emotion into her was amazing. So anyway, I'm installing this.
Hey Marcus, what did Bioware do to Miranda's hairstyle in ME2 LE? Looks different. Is there a mod that can change it back to the original ME2 hairstyle version for both ME2 and ME3 LE?
Miranda has the exact same improved hair they gave her on ME3 back on the OT. The clay looking hair from the original ME2 was part of the head as one single mesh. As far as I know there's no mod porting that to the LE. Also, bone-wise, I do not think that head would work at all on ME3; since there are extra bones and others which are weighted differently; so it would potentially lead to very broken faces during certain animations.
Perhaps you'd consider doing the same for Sarah Williams? she needs Ashley's face. I know she is not a twin, but with some minor adjustments to the mesh, She would look 1000% better. lol
To be honest...? I've never met Sarah lol I don't even know how she looks. Ash... becomes ashes XD
Anyways, just tweaking the mesh is beyond my skills. But if you come across a different complexion for Ashley that might be combined for creating a closer looking character, let me know?
yeah it was really too bad. they made her look nothing like Ash. her skin is milky white and her hair is red. I know she can dye it but its just she looks nothing like Ashley in the vanilla game.
Sorry you haven't met Ashes sister before- although she has no spoken lines anyways, so I don't blame you. :P
Hey Khaar, just giving you a heads up that this mod causes Invisible Vanilla Armour Parts - IVAP (LE2) to display ID numbers for the invisible gear parts that it adds. Example (ignore Shepard doing N7 level yoga):
I'm sorry, but what does this have to do with Oriana mod...? I'm just lost at why this comment is here and what do you mean... If you prefer to DM, me; they are always open.
Oh, no problem, but this has nothing to do with Oriana. Actually, I think this is a problem with that new Asari Commando armor mod that recently released? Or where's that coming from?
So as a totally non-technical end user of mods, I think the reason for the small incompatibility is because both mods use the same DLC identifier? 4003?
Anyway, no biggie. I think both mods are working just fine, aside from the superficial display issue.
Actually the telemetry wasn't up when I made the mod. Sometimes there's a delay. My original mount and module ID were the same but I had to change the mount ID. I wouldn't have picked the same as yours if it had been up.
Hahaha, we're working on laying a good framework to add new things to the CC that would make things compatible. But I could see if maybe I can make a modding resource out of it that can be applied via savegame editing?

Just a thought, Thank you again for Oriana! :)
