About this mod
ADN takes a page out of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's book, and introduces notifications that briefly appear during cutscenes. It pays special attention to subtle and not-to-obvious branches that players create, often without ever realizing it. Thus, Mass Effect 3's hidden gems and underappreciated elements are finally brought to the surface.

Coffees are very much appreciated and noticed, especially as modding tends to extend long into the night, where caffeine helps me stay awake.
DESCRIPTION
Mac Walters was right when he said that, under the hood, Mass Effect 3 is actually huge. A common criticism was the reduction of dialogue wheel options, but this was traded in favor of deeper and more subtle variables -- except that the average player was unaware of most of them. Despite years of modding, I myself discover new variables to this day by digging through the dialogue files.
Dragon Age developers realized that communication is key.
Inspired by Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Accompanying Dialogue Notes introduces brief and non-intrusive notes that appear during cutscenes, and bring those subtle variables to the surface. For now, focus is (mostly) placed on subtle changes that are difficult to spot.
Sometimes, a character's attitude and tone will change for the remainder of the mission or even an entire story arc. Other times, somebody might be moved by a single word or phrase they've heard, and will reference it half a game later.
Each note was carefully written, so the cause-and-effect should be fairly obvious.
ADN accomplishes two things:
1. Helps communicate mechanics and the consequences of your choices -- something RPGs tend to struggle with
2. Deepens your appreciation of Mass Effect 3, by pointing out variations and branches you've probably never even heard of
Concrete example (spoilers):
Normally, when the dalatrass calls you with the offer to sabotage the genophage cure, she will say:
"Commander, you cannot allow the diplomatic pressures of this war to cloud your judgment."
However, if you "expressed sympathy" for the Krogan during the summit by selecting the Paragon option, she will instead say:
"Commander, you cannot allow your misguided sympathy for the Krogan to cloud your judgment."
Wrex/Wreav will also reference this Paragon option later on.
It's a small but nonetheless existing connection that 99.9% of players won't notice or realize.
By notifying you, and by using words that are contextually relevant to the branch (like "sympathy"), ADN plants the idea in your mind that your choice will be referenced somehow, at some point in the future.
Concrete example (spoilers):
The ultimate goal is to refine ADN to the point where it becomes an essential inclusion in anyone's playthrough.
Built on the LE3 Community Patch, so it is natively compatible out of the box.
Should be compatible with most other mods out there, but in case of any incompatibility and due to ADN's low mount priority, the only result is that ADN's notification won't appear.
Language subtitle support coming with Update 1.
Just plug and play. Works on both existing and new playthrough - although my preferred way would be for you to start a fresh playthrough so that you can discover the new notifications one by one as you play.
The people behind the Unofficial LE2 Patch, the LE1 Community Patch, and MELLO for inspiring me to start modding the LE through their tireless and incredible work.
