So, I've tried to add Death mask on to the N7 Defender armor. But I am so confused. Could someone explain in detail, like you are explaining to a 5 year old, on how to do it.
Starting with how to use the ME3 Explorer.
Great mod and everything, I just dont seem to understand how to do it.
1. Download, unpack and run ME3Explorer 2. Choose Coalesced tool 3. Select the Coalesced.bin file (either your own, or the one from this mod) 4. Choose Convert to unpack it, it will create Coalesced folder where the files will be extracted 5. Open BioGame.xml file with any text editor (I recommend Notepad++, but anything should work) 6. Find the Death Helmet and copy the mesh info: Mesh=(Male="biog_hmm_hgr_shp_r.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMF_HGR_SHPc_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True)7. Find the N7 Defender armor helmet info: Mesh=(Male="biog_hmm_hgr_shp_r.SHPa.HMM_HGR_SHPa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_HGR_SHP_R.SHPa.HMF_HGR_SHPa_MDL",bHideHair=True)and replace it's mesh withe the mesh from the Death Helmet 8. Use Coalesced tool again and open Coalesced.xml from the folder where the files were extracted 9. After using Convert it will rebuild the Coalesced.bin that you can copy to the game folder
Thank you for your detailed instructions. I tried the same like haugen9, but with the recon hood (and I think i found the right meshinfo and so on) and seem to struggle with it. All works fine, but in the "dressroom" nothing changed.
I think it's me and I miss something - the Ajax Armor will have the vanilla helmet, dunno why.
PS: I rechecked my modded coalesced as well (unpacked it and checked the edits in the .xml) and it seems to be fine as well.
PPS: I'm into something. I set the the plot flag on -1 on all armors for a check and some full body armors works, while others (like the ajax) don't. I switched all full body helmet appearences out, just to be sure, and now I think, that are some armors not in the coalesced included?
PPPS: I got it! There is another path for some armors ".../Biogame/DLC...". Hah, my sluggish brain is sometimes a worthy enemy to myself^^
Much basic-knowledge I've missed. Thank you so much anyway. Downloaded the data just to endorse you.
I have a question about the coalesced editing. Editing the coalesced is easy enough (I still use the oldschool "ME3 Coalesced Utility" program and it works like a charm) but I need to know the file names of the helmets I want to edit.
What is the file names for the archon visor and mnemonic visor? Also, the file name for the Cerberus Spirit/Nightmare/Shade armor helmet that I can replace with the archon visor? Was gonna ask about the file name for the N7 Defender helmet (to replace with the mnemonic visor), but you already covered that. Thank you!
What gets equipped when you need to use a full-head helmet? Is it the helmet that's normally attached or does the game default to the standard N7 Breather helmet?
I want to change the helmet for the ghost Armour and replace it with the n7 breather helmet, but whenever I edit the coalesced.bin file to change the mesh for the same, when I run the game again, the whole ghost Armour vanishes... Can someone help me?
I'm trying to do it myself with the editor to the inferno armour, however I'm not really sure how I can identify a given armour set? Which one is the inferno armour!?
Hey there, love the mod but I'm experiencing the issue with the default helmet appearing in certain missions and I'm not sure how to change it to the Ajax helmet. I don't know what ID to change it to with Coalesced
Yes, that's how I've uninstalled edits. Just paste the original 'Coalesced.bin' file in the folder where you found it, where your edited version is, and choose to replace the existing file when your computer asks you. That will overwrite the edited file and give you back the vanilla file.

I hope I didn't forget anything :)

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_SHP_R.FBDe.HMM_ARM_FBDe_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R.FBDe.HMF_ARM_FBDe_MDL",bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGameContent.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Inferno"),Id=1,Name=352047,Description=352048,PlotFlag=21752,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)
in the editor it's hard to see but you can see Inferno in the string as Id 1 (which comes after Id 0).
